Two base roach is awful

It isn't even really a hard counter to 3 cc 2 eBay if you don't suck at scouting and get your rax before your ebays

I imagine 2 base roach attacks make people leave a lot of winnable or won games because they lost 15 SCVs to the attack.

It looks like I've been doing it slightly wrong - the idea is this, which has you starting a 3rd at 8:30 and pushing out with ~30 +1/+1 roaches at 10:00. You can drone behind it and be well ahead if your attack does significant econ damage at the natural but doesn't end the game.

even with stuff out on the map its not too hard to miss them. even more so if you do goofys fave thing and throw hellions into main/nat for like 8 drones.

also think even if you add rax first, which not everyone does, theres a pretty large extra window when addons are being made.

but yeah, i probably wouldnt lose to it very often, i just used to hate it coming up in WoL

Depends how many games you are willing to play, but I'd say a weekend if you include Friday, just to be conservative.

I have brought a couple accounts from fresh elo to masters in a single day way back when. I really don't think it would be that hard at all. You could do it with 2 or 3 builds and rely purely on mechanics/timing.

Took me 5 days to go from reset MMR to Masters(80 games with 60% winrate I think). Guess it will take longer now as the avg skilllvl is much higher and it will take a while to get used to the Metagame and new builds.

I'm bad but I am pretty sure it would be longer than a weekend or a week. The month is probably close but that is about how long it would take most people to get to masters with proper practice.

If you are running like 3 builds max what is there to get used to?

Change in skill level doesn't matter unless you were fringe masters to begin with.

A month is way too long if you are playing 10-15 games a day.

You guys have to consider that
a.) He never played much HotS so he's not at all used to current meta/new units
b.) It's gonna take him awhile to figure out how the hell to play vs lolprotoss now that the matchup is totally different
c.) Karak blows

I'd say 150 games as a conservative estimate. Personally, I think my mechanics hardly degraded at all over my break, and the only reason I would say I'm weaker right now is because I'm learning a new inject scheme. But Karak always complained about how ****ty his mechanics were after even a short break, so I'm assuming he degrades faster than me.

Strategy doesn't even matter. Mutas are so good in every matchup he can just do that if he wanted to. He could probably even go pwncakery style and just go mass ling/bane and do fine. The game isn't really that different from WoL.

I'd be very impressed if he got back to masters in a week. Masters is pretty tough atm. I have been masters for the past several seasons and I got demoted to diamond at the start of the this season. It took me well over 100 games of super tryhard mode to get back to masters.
