So my G9x is 'defective'. It is loose where the grip attaches to the mouse, and theres a bit of play when I move the mouse side to side. I ghetto rigged it by sticking some scotch tape over where the grips click in, and that improved it by like 98%, but I emailed logitech and they want to send me a replacement. For some ******ed reason, they discontinued the G9x, and don't really have an equivalent replacement. The g9x is a "claw grip" mouse. I had never used one but I was amazed how well it fit in my hand and my control really improved. It also has adjustable weights that you can pop in/out of the mouse to make the feel really perfect. RIP G9x:
They're offering me the G602 Wireless gaming mouse, which is wireless but extremely long battery life and high response speed, has 6 side buttons which I think is cool, and some innovative grip system on the mouse.
The G602:
They're also offering me the G600 MMO mouse. The obvious point of the G600 is it has a million buttons on the side. I watched a review video on it and they said it is not easy to misclick a side button, as they are all well defined. The G600 also has a ring finger click button, and is wired.
The G600:
I don't really play MMO's at this point in my gaming career, but I like side buttons (maybe not THAT many) for quick access keys like in sc2 as described earlier, a melee attack or quick weapon switch in FPS, or some ability in League of Legends. On the other hand I am a little wary to get a wireless mouse - my last was the performance MX and it was good for poker, ****ty for gaming. It's hard to tell how they will feel in my hand, and the G602 just kind of looks a little wack imo... Neither mouse has the adjustable weight system that the G9x has
I'm leaning towards the 602, but I really can't decide. My main feeling is of hatred for logitech for discontinuing such an awesome piece of hardware. Which one should I get?
