to be honest a lot of pros has admitted this is the truth, that they only practice their matchups and basically never play other races.

why should he know anything at all about ZvT? how does it benefit him at all to study that matchup? if anything it will detract from his play since the time he spends learning ZvT could have been spent practicing the matchups that he actually plays.

i'm not saying he does or does not know the match up my point was more why would you ask the best protoss in sc2 history about a matchup he does not play?

hes pretty right tho

the fact is infestors are extremely weak midgame and it shuts the door on a composition that could demolish bio mines and make fun and different games.

i wasn't really paying attention to sc2 during hots beta. how exactly did they change the infestor from WoL? i know its a projectile but did they also nerf damage and by how much?

nobody asked him anything, it was just a post he made on some forum about the general state of the game

MC has historically had very good zerg

iirc he practiced with the STC the time he took out DRG in ro32 the GSL after DRG won

I think the fundamental problem with SC2 is that terran is too one-dimensional. You can complain about biomine being too strong, but if ling/muta/bane beat biomine then terran could never ever win. There's no strategy about picking unit compositions and countering them. It's similar in protoss, but there's at least some subtle choices about colo v. HT and medivacs v. vikings.

His point was that ling/bling/muta should trade well enough to allow zerg to hit hive tech and win. However even hive tech get's lol'd at so unlike in BW it makes no difference. Ling/bling/muta either has to be able to win vs biomine or hive tech needs to be stronger vs terran, or alternatively it has to be able to win but so can mech. Turtle mech skyterran is still insanely powerful I am always amazed we don't see it more.

I think the point is that both zerg and terran need a transition into something. There's no transition for bio mine. There's a transition for ling/muta, but it is either going to be overpowered or underpowered if terran doesn't have a reaction to make.
