just played a guy who was diamond each of the last two seasons yet was silver this season but apparently had only played 4 games...still, wtf. i obv got destroyed

Diamond last(The first season not sure if it`s already season 3) season was full of clowns and overcrowded, they fixed it.

He was no clown, he was good. And he was diamond each of the last 2 seasons.

Anyway I just played a gold guy too, rushed 4 tanks to my natural. goddammit getting destroyed isn't fun

well being a clown in diamond doesnt mean you lose to silver, but it doesnt make you good by any means

when i first got to plat like a year ago, about 70% of tvt i lost to simple tank pushes. not losing to them was a big step at that point

Surprisingly I managed to play pretty well, only lost one game to a diamond P who went, like, colossus/void ray/storm with mass cannon? I guess I'm supposed to do something stupid like swarm host/spore against that but **** that ****, so I just threw a bunch of hydras and ultras at his bases and wound up losing. But I beat a random plat where I got way ahead early with lings in his base, he went to a quick 3 bases after stabilizing (so I went up to 4 or 5), I did some damage with mutas, he then went like 4-5 stargates (lol?), I got infestors and hydras and owned most engagements against void ray/carrier (lol!). Went into ultras to end it.

Come to think of it I think I built like 12 corruptors at one point and then completely forgot about them. That would explain why I kept having this nagging feeling like my army was smaller than it should have been despite being maxed.

Like I said there was a bug/mistake w/e that there were too much people in diamond the first HOTS-Season, these people shouldn`t have been in Diamond and they usually got placed way lower the next season(Friend of mine made it to diamond and was placed into gold the next season)

Like I said, it wasn't one season, it was 2 seasons, he only had 4 games this season, (all wins) looked like he didn't play at all this season until yesterday, and with the season lock they just stuck him in silver. Which makes a lot more sense to me than "Oh for two straight seasons Blizzard overplaced him by 60 percentile points"

if you get placed in diamond to start a season then get demoted, does it count you as having a high of diamond? or does it only account for finishing league?

he could have even gotten a free win in his s2 placement match and they just threw him back in there. or maybe he just did hellbat drops 24/7.

He is 100% one of the guys who didn`t deserve to get to diamond or he started throwing away matches to get a low MMR. Else there is no way he goes to silver from Diamond. I was masters a couple of seasons too, doesn`t mean I still play on masters level(Hint: I don`t )

Post the replay and I can tell you what level he plays on.

He saying that the season is locked means that it`s still Season 2 in HOTS and Season 1 was the buggy one.
