So. What does it matter if 4 randoms or 1 random does it?

Your teammates are ostensibly supposed to help you. But the MOBA community sucks in that regard from what I hear.

Maybe I am just amazingly transcendent among the 3 games of LoL SC2 and DOTA, knowing and having experienced the learning curve of each game. I wouldn't know **** the casters were talking about in any game with only a menial/introductory level of knowledge of the game. Each game is almost like an inside joke. Gotta experience/research it a good amount

recently started playing LoL with friends and i hate this part so much about LoL (any team game for that matter) where you get the "think they are gods gift know it alls" who instruct everyone and berate any wrong move they do

saying that just supported a teemo where we got battered and he was 2/11/6 but still got good teamwork from him, i like those people more

You're saying the ladder team games in sc2 are better? Lol

Jack, at least there's the option to ladder 1v1 rather than put your fate in the hands of what will likely be tards.

maybe its diff for me since 95% of team games ive played over a long period of time was with people i was rly good friends with. the amount of berating/**** talking was way higher than ive ever seen in sc2 bm'ing

also think its better when the 4 others laugh at the fish rather than berate him

Way to miss the point, which is that SC2 isn't a team game

But it is?
If you play team ladder

Do you just really want to argue or something? You're trying so hard to make false equivalencies.

Maybe you are. I started watching SC2 casually before I ever played it and I had a pretty good idea of what was going on; people make units, units fight each other. Some units have special abilities (fungal, storm, etc) but they aren't that complicated.

Meanwhile, MOBA games are, like, completely based around abilities, and there's tons of them. You can watch a SC2 game and figure out pretty quickly that colossi are pretty cool units that shoot really far and leave lots of burned marines in their wake, but looking at a team fight in lol/dota it's like...wat. My ability to watch and understand a SC2 game was insanely better before I ever played it than my ability to watch and understand a Dota game after spending 30 hours playing it.

You need to know a champion's abilities (4 actives and a passive) and their typical role. For each unit in SC2, you need to know their mineral/gas/supply costs, any special abilities they have, and any upgrades they have. Doesn't really seem like any more information, especially when you consider that pro play in LoL generally revolves around a subset of much less than 45 champions. Dota is probably the same.

I'm watching TI3 right now with Liquipedia open on another monitor looking up all the heroes as they are picked and items as they are mentioned lol. I'm starting to remember heroes, but items are a pain.

Well the non-pro subset is like 130 champions in LOL at least.

And the LoL community sucks ass. Like I basically quit because of how much ass it sucks. I imagine the DOTA community is the same or worse.

Thats the thing about SC2, most of the game is centered around 1v1. There is literally no 1v1 component to MOBA games
Starcraft 2 (GAME IS NOW FREE!) Quote

That's ridiculously ignorant to say there is no 1v1 component. In LoL the solo lanes for the most part are 1v1ing one another (at least in the early game, which is how long cheesy SC2 games can last). It's obv not on the same level, but saying there is no 1v1 component to MOBA games is sort of wrong.

You don't get what I'm saying. In SC2 its you vs one other person. If you **** up and lose its your fault and you know it and there's nobody else going OMG NOOOOOOB GTFO KILL YOURSELF. In MOBA its never *your* fault, it's someone else's.

yea there's just a **** ton of information you need to commit to memory before you can play at a reasonable level and the only way to get there is to play a **** ton.

its better if you play with other people that know what they're doing so they can just tell you what to do. the other thing is that you also need to know the visual animation of each spell too.
