I imagine going ling/bling/muta, considered an inferior composition vs bio by the end of WoL, would just crush now once you get used to fighting mines.

I hated TvZ when I played Terran also. Switch and join us, it's much more fun than trying to beat us. Do you know how good it feels to watch banelings explode on marines?

In silver ling bling muta should be EZ game as a terran since their micro will make that composition so inefficient. All you need is good mine placement. Drop and position mines everywhere, make sure you don't get caught on creep without mines.

Yeah I just leave games in which I get mirrors. Has made the game drastically more fun for me since I started doing that like a year ago.

Hmm wonder how that affects your MMR. You leave so many games which keeps it artificially low so you should be winning 60-70% of non mirrors?

Have you ever tried going mech?

I've tried going mech a couple of times but I don't know the builds well like I do bio so it usually results in some sort of economic failure. I also suck at controlling my ****...pretty easy to stim and a-move a bio army, less easy to seige and unseige and burrow mines and run around with hellions and whatnot. I did discover that thors are pretty good vs mutas.

Ra_Z, the silver zerg micro ive seen is inefficient, but I'm in silver because my own micro is inefficient. Terrible is probably the more correct adjective. And Terran seems to be more micro-intensive

I think one of my bigger more general problems is not being more agressive once I've defended off any early ling pressure and gotten a small army up and on the field. I tend to turtle up way too much

and turns out if they switch to roach hydra your hellbats are ****ed. oops

There aren't really any answers to banelings other than tanks or mines. Suck it up and start using them.

dont you think this is more true for banes than marines? when i started in wol i literally didnt make a tank til i got to gold and wondered why i was losing to tank pushes 100%, and in tvzs i felt like it was just endless waves of 30 banes at a time followed with 80 lings just brainlessly killing me.

but yeah i think if you arent engaging with your mines you are gonna be hard pressed to ever win unless you do as goofy said earlier and use marauders to tank banes then fight ling muta and some random target firing vs the left overs

also, not sure if you said, but are you keeping up with medivacs and upgrades?

Feels so good when this pays off and you get an easy win against some tard who thinks he's clever

in other news, Mouz vs Acer is some random league today had mana vs scarlett on daybreak, led to an HOUR long game of swarm hosts shooting into what looked like hold positioned collosus for 5-10 minutes while both are maxed and on 5 base. die daybreak, die

Maybe you should play TvT instead of TvZ then.

The mirrors are my best matchup with every race. It's probably because I all in every time I get a mirror.

And I fail to attack with the lead once again. God I ****ing suck at this ducking game

I had that problem a lot when I was a newbie Terran - in the words of Artosis, "when you're ahead, get more ahead". You don't have attack with a lead, but you do have to be proactive in maintaining that lead, which can take different forms - expand and take more bases, improve your tech, get upgrades, harass your opponent with drops, deny their expansions. You don't have to force an engagement if you don't want to, but that doesn't mean it's okay to just chill and build up a bank without doing anything*.




*I may have issues with this occasionally as documented ITF

What I've found is I lose 2 ways - opponent doesn't tech and does a repeated ling bling or marine marauder early pressue/all-in type thing or... opponent techs heavily and I fail to attack when my army is much larger than theirs.
