Why are half of the grandmaster league accounts named "|||||||||||" or ||||||III||I|| or whatever?

Those are called barcode accounts, and it's so that the best players can maintain anonymity and not give away strategies/builds when practicing on ladder.

You'll occasionally run into barcodes in like gold or plat and LOL at them.

I'm like 8-3 or something today/lastnight, getting better. Mostly just learning all kinds of basic stuff like what counters what, macro getting better, making better decisions, doing some fun timing drops, scouting better and knowing what I'm looking for. Oh there's 45 banelings coming? (lol bronze) better seige the tanks outside my natural. Oh look there's 4 gateways, guess I know what's coming. I still suck hard and do stupid **** all the time and all that, and I have no idea when I should expand, and get supply blocked way too much and a million other things. But at least now I've learned how to evaluate and get better. Should probably learn some hellbat builds, seems to be all the rage these days

true story, i started playing wol after every terran nerf, as a terran, and lived through the 50 baneling attack days of bronze starting out. have barely been playing hots and im strongly considering playing a new race.

schu, if you ever have like 2k minerals and already making units, just make CC's and more production. they can always come in handy

- Hellbat damage nerfed from 18, +12 vs light to just 18
- Blue flame research restores the +12 vs light bonus to hellbats
- Cloak research reduced from 200/200 to 100/100

**** off Blizzard, it's like they put zero thought whatsoever into how to balance the game. "hurr durr if we're nerfing hellbats I guess we have to buff something else, let's make cloaked banshee builds even faster!" And so the newest nightmare for TvT begins.

probably won't have THAT much of an impact because of the tech requirements but cloaked banshee wars are still far better than hellbat drop wars
