definitely a random ass build to be up against but his response and approach seemed so off...

one of the most fun 2v2s i've played in a while. ignore the fact that the opponents are like gold/plat 1v1'ers, and i'm probably about to be relegated.

She played another game like this just now on Daybreak, both players on 5 bases, roach-hydra-viper for awhile against colossus-storm, and her army got CRUSHED in an engagement. She made an air transition to corruptor-BL and wiped out Toss' army (which had a few carriers in it now...lol?), and took out 2 or 3 bases...and then Toss finally emerged from his main with like 10 voids and some blink stalkers and colossi (which went to town on the infestors) against 6-8 broods and 15-20 corruptors, and Spyte's army got obliterated and she was never able to engage the P army again.

Lategame P is just so good.

Yeah. Still deciding on a playoff system or not. And trying to find someone who is willing/can to stream weekly as I don't know if I'll be available. But I would like to get the HotS WNF going this week.

I can stream weekly, but only if we do it on a different night (Wednesdays are my softball games).

I can probably stream too. But I plan on being in the finals every week so probably not for casting

Fwiw, I think we should see what kind of attendance we get before deciding on a system. Run it for a few weeks and call it preseason or whatever to see what we get.

This can be discussed. Wednesday is what we did in the past. I'm going to go with the masses. If we struggle to get numbers on Wednesday we will switch the day up.

That'll be the plan. It's what I've done in the past and plan on doing as well. It's been roughly a year since the last WNF so its time to get it on.

A weekly tournament of all skill levels. It's for fun, though if there is interest we can throw money in the pot we can escrow. I still have I think $10 from Gospy last year that can be used for a prize pool, lol. (if you want that back Gospy let me know).


Previously we did sign-ups from 9-9:25. Brackets are put together at 9:25 and first round games are at 9:30. We'll limit participation to 12 for the first wee. Unless we get an overwhelming number, I think 12 is the best number to start with(let's see if we even get that).

Play first, cast second. I'll get it rolling see how my schedule is.

I'll get a thread up tomorrow at some point to garner interest.

Thanks for posting those Ra_Z, played a few games with swarm host-centered compositions tonight and...

1. lose at 9 minutes to 4 gate push...off 2 bases, because I have no army, LOL i'm bad
2. villain gateway expands in a kind of greedy looking way (like, puts down pylon and nexus in natural off 1 gate), I'm not too familiar with these but say "**** it let's send 6 lings and see what happens". Kill the pylon, and unbeknownst to me this supply blocked him! So lol I probably could have won the game right there cause he had no units yet, but I was basically expecting a zealot to come down from the main at any moment so all I did besides kill the pylon was force a cancel on his nexus. Anyway I go to 3 bases -> hydra -> swarm host, and right as my swarm hosts are getting out he pushes with 2 colossi and gateway units and the hosts + hydras + lings DECIMATE his army, he ggs.
3. Long game on Korhal City against a masters zerg who was offracing; he seemed kinda bad at P though, as his build was, like, 2 gate wall off into DTs???? or something super weird. DTs did no damage, I went up to 4 bases and maxed on hydra/swarm host/ultra, marched over to siege him, pushed with the hydras and ultras when locusts were out and retreated when they expired, and the dancing around proved pretty effective. What's especially nice with the swarm hosts is that you can use the locust path to zone their army in certain ways if you want and then set up flanks or runbys or whatever. Anyway he eventually misclicks his army into mine w/o attacking or something and everything dies.

Pretty cool composition, it'll be fun to try out something new besides roach/hydra. Haven't faced any Skytosses yet though.
