Starcraft 2 (GAME IS NOW FREE!) - Page 61 - Video Games

What is it with people stealing gas? Is that all they know how to do around the Gold level? Seriously!

I played a game on the PTR because I want to see what placement I'll get in to if i just play the game casually, sitting back, without my adrenaline pumping. Of course, the guy stole my gas, but I beat him because he went all zerglings/banelings and I destroyed him with colossi. But come on, it's getting old. I think my last 3-4 matches have all had someone stealing at least one gas.

its super standard for zerg to steal gas.

It's been zerg and protoss. I guess not Terran since they need their SCVs. It's just annoying.

If a protoss steals both your gas just mass marines and expand immediately. You will stomp them unless they go DT's or something.

But I'm Protoss so that doesn't work.

However, if that does happen, should I just quick rush him with my first zealot since he'll probably be lacking in minerals and his buildings will be delayed?

75 minerals shouldnt delay you that much

kill the gas while its building? you cant hard counter everything that happens, gas stealing is pretty standard -.-.. thats like asking how to counter 1 gate core

So I put a probe on it and the probe just pisses on it until it finishes being built. And then I always fear that once I get a zealot out that now I leave my entrance open for an attack...so I don't know what to do.

I'm going to end up in Bronze on the PTR though. I'm pretty sure I'll end up going 0-5. I'm going to play my last 2 games tomorrow.

I'm going to bed now.

If zerg steals your gas, just kill it with ur zlot and stalker. You probably can't go a fast tech route if you were originally planning to but a really good transition that isn't dependent on super early 2nd gas is to drop 2 more gateways and 2nd gas after u kill the gas steal and expand while making sentries. 3 Gate sentry expand is a very flexible and strong opening vs zerg.

If you're nervous about getting attacked while u kill the gas, just keep your original scouting probe alive outside their base or a little bit far outside yours to check for any incoming zerglings.

You could also not kill it at all and do the 1 gas zeal heavy 4 gate. It's super tough to stop.

Yea that makes sense. Then it just comes down to how well the zerg can micro th drone. I actually wouldn't mind being 12 droned because I think micro'ing during worker rushes is pretty fun (I do it all the time in team games when I'm goofing around). My buddy and I actually won a 2v2 game by worker rushing both players.

i think my MMR has plummeted recently. at around 2400 but ive only been matched with two people over 2100 in the last 20 games

U need to add bonus pool to rating. I just got a player with 700 rating and 1500 bonus pool. Im at 2150+60 atm and got 13 points for win
