Today I learned watching that special Proleague thing that phoenixes can lift burrowed swarm hosts. Seems fair.

I'm pretty sure phoenixes can lift any burrowed unit if they have vision.

The link goofy showed ya'll where I transition (horribly) into battlecruisers, and go back into bioball.........what the eff could I have done to win that game? Hellbats? Widow mines? The PF and tanks just messed my world up. I was on 5 or so bases and somehow he KEPT producing units even though I denied his bases forever. Any tips?

not really tryin to be a dick; you took awful trades all game long and thats why being 1-2 bases up didnt matter. running headlong into tank/pf lines and losing like 5 bc's for nothing doesnt work out too well. gonna be hard to kill tank/pfs with pure bio

also, many times you went for drops where he had tanks seiged up already and refused to drop onto the tanks and rather far enough away that they could shoot as you drop.

control groups are good. probably 30 apm being spent re selecting your army

Goofy if you have trouble spending your minerals (and you pretty much always will when you saturate 3 bases) you really should grab at least one macro hatchery.

Also I'd suggest just making blind spore crawlers and spines at your expos especially once you have tons of minerals + drones. The good they will do at the lower levels will far outweigh the cost of making them. Keep expanding, even if you lose it, he still has to spend time killing it instead of getting into your precious 3rd/main base and doing significant damage there. Don't forget to keep spreading creep especially during the lulls in action.

The thing is, I can swallow my pride and admit you're right. I do so many "terrible" things whilst playing. However, you do as well. When you stop being so egotistical, maybe you can actually improve on your play by listening to others' advice. I play A LOT of ladder at OUR competition. I play zergs, LOTS of zergs, and I'm giving you advice based on what works against players like myself. I guarantee you won't be playing exponentially better terrans than myself at your level, so my advice should be of some value to you in platinum. Take your ****ing 4th/5th, build blind spore crawlers, and stop being a little bitch all the time.

tek's referring to a conversation we had earlier about playing against Protoss. He was building blind turrets at around 6:00-7:00 at his two bases in a TvP, and I was like "why are you doing that, you haven't scouted him at all" and he's like "it just keeps you safe against so much stuff Protoss can do, like DTs or Oracles". Keep in mind that in this game, where he did no scouting whatsoever, he had like no units and 1 bunker at the 6:00 mark and a 4gate would have killed him instantly.

But, he sees the word "blind spores" in a post about a completely different situation (ZvT, where your opponent is pretty much guaranteed to drop you all the time and you need spines/spores to protect bases from drops) and assume that validates his blind turrets vs. Protoss.

So often you just do not understand this game, at all.

Sigh. Building turrets vs protoss as a terran is about as standard as you get. 3/4 the times an oracle comes, 1/8 the time, DTs come. This defends all of the above. My TvP win rate in plat is 68% right now
