Playing 2v2s last night we're in a weird game against TT where we can't hold expansions and our economies are drying up. We're being attacked by thors and tanks, my lings have died off but I have some corruptors, I have no mining bases and my partner has 1, I plead with him to send me some minerals, any minerals, cause every little bit he sends will become a brood lord and probably save our asses. He refuses, concentrating instead on pumping out marines, which to the surprise of no one get shredded by the mech.

He rage quits, which sends me enough mins to morph 5 broods and kill off the tank/Thor force entirely. I eventually lose cause it's 2v1 and I still can't get more bases up but Jesus it's tilting to play with him sometimes. He doesn't understand Zerg at all; he opens reapers into widow mine drops every game and then when I have to make tons of speed lings early on to keep us from dying outright he blames me for not having a huge army later on (sorry, in the portion of the game where I'd like to be making drones I had to KEEP US THE **** ALIVE).

Then quit playing with him, or work out a plan in advance.

We're playing in a live 2v2 tournament on Saturday so we've been practicing a lot, it's pretty unavoidable.

btw, is double 6 pool by ZZ against any composition featuring exactly 1 Zerg a build order win? On ****ty 2v2 maps you can't wall off a wide ramp, so 12 lings kill me off while Terran is still getting his infrastructure up and it basically becomes 2v1.

Last night in a game I put my spawning pool under my hatch, and then my roach warren to the right of my hatch. It created this pocket where larva would crawl and, when morphing into units, get stuck between the hatch/warren/pool. I had to kill the pool and rebuild it elsewhere to free my trapped units. I thought this only happened to T/P. :/ :/ :/

My 2v2 partner just set up a stream (http://twitch.tv/tekstarcraft), and I just realized for the first time watching him that widow mines don't kill SCVs with splash - drones/probes have 40hp, SCVs 45. That means rushing widow mine drops vs T is probably pretty terrible, yeah?

...test what? It doesn't need testing, I just saw it, just makes it seem like it's a pretty dumb build to do now knowing that.

Also it's not like I would have ever tested it, seeing as TvT is not a matchup I ever have to play again (thank god)

He's not very good (spoiler alert). I heard him talking on stream about a hand he played once.....not a good look.

He used to stream micros on PS a long time ago. Moderately entertaining because he didn't figure out that he needed to hide his cards for a couple days.

My friend is getting pretty dark, lost like 3 games in a row that he should have won (one of them he was way behind at the start and should never have won, but other guy was bad and let him back in it :/)

God ****ing bio+medivacs so annoyingly strong... I miss my EZ-Mode infestors.

Also something I've always hated against late game ZvT - I feel like punching myself in the ass when I see them sending scvs to sacrifice because they have like 10 orbitals and can now just produce a 180 supply army without scvs, while I'm maxed out with like 100 supply caught up in drones + queens because I went meathead ultralisks that get instagibbed as they derp over each other trying to make it to the bio that has 4x the DPS of any zerg composition besides 350 banelings...

Don't even get me started on defensive PF's...

While by far the most hilarious thing about this is that I don't think I've ever heard of a team "releasing" a player (usually they say the player "left" but that's a pretty strong statement that EG was like "gtfo you're awful"), here are some other sweet quotes:

Well obv, the reason I am curious is because why negotiate a pay cut/restructure at all if they can just cut him? It doesn't seem like they think he was all that valuable even at a lesser rate.

Also I've watched you play like 3 games, you need to stop messaging people after, so bm lol.

Laddering tonight I've beaten two players that were Masters league in WoL (both in ZvZ, one in a macro-ish game where I held off mutas flawlessly and massed roach-hydra to easily win, other in a weird long attrition game where he went speedling all-in and I lost my natural but held my main, wound up winning with better-upgraded roaches) and lost a close-ish ZvT to a former Masters player where I held off his initial army (marine-tank) pretty well with ling-bane but couldn't deal with imbavacs (needed mutas ldo). My macro fell apart a little too once he attacked and I didn't have enough larva to replenish my lings. Still, he was really ****ing good so I feel pretty good about that game. All three are in gold league now, which is pretty funny.

edit: the Terran I lost to is 10-0 this season lol.
