Random research project I did today:

Protoss:

DT: +5
Immortal: +2 (+3 v armored)
Colossus: +2
Archon: +3

Terran:
Siege tank: +2 (+1 v armored) normal, +3 (+2 v armored) siege
Thor: +3 ground +1 air (+1 v light air)

Zerg:

Baneling: +2 (+2 v light)
Roach: +2
Ultralisk: +2 (+2 v armored)
Brood Lord: +2


These are all the units in the game that get more than a +1 bonus per attack for each attack upgrade level you get; so, even when both sides are at 3/3, these units get an attack bonus above and beyond what would normally be countered by the other side's armor upgrades. TIL that +3 DTs can 1 shot +3 armor combat shield marines!

+3 DTs do 60 damage a shot I think? And are perma invisible. Stupid unit.

Fragile, expensive, easy as pie to counteract. Infestor is a FAR more ******ed unit. u mad?

DTs are still better than banshees tho.

100/100 dark shrine is actually a nerf to protoss in zvp

because of the low cost lategame dts will be near 100% standard in endgame zvp which means zerg will always need to be prepared with detection at every base. Nowadays zergs skip a lot on detection and get dismantled by lategame dt harrass a lot of times. this change will metashift it to the zerg having detection at every possible location, every time in lategame scenario

lol, just won a sweet ZvP I toooootally should have lost. I was on 5 bases but had a crappy drone count so my economy wasn't as good as it should have been, and I was struggling to come up with a good composition against colossi/stalker turned archon/colossi/void ray/mothership. Eventually I lost a big engagement and was about ready to leave, when I was like "**** it, I'm gonna make him work for it" so I surrounded my 4th (this is Ohana, so the raised base) with spores since his army was mostly void rays and built as many lings as I could rallied to his base to counterattack. My 4th eventually fell, but his mothership went down with it so he was just down to like 5 void rays, so I did the same defense at my 5th and added some spines since he had stalkers at his base too. My lings took out all his stalkers and eventually broke through the main despite his attempts to block it off with zealots, and I could tell he was low on economy cause a.) he was trying to long-distance mine at his creep-covered 4th (then I killed all his probes lolz) and b.) he wasn't warping in units to defend, so I started thinking I actually had a chance. Took out his main, took out his natural, went to his 3rd and...

as his nexus died, game ended. LOL WTF? I'd never scouted his 4th at any point, turns out he never even took it even in a 40something minute game! lolz!

I spent a lot of time in the midgame kind of staring blankly at the screen, trying to figure out what units I should build against his composition :/

Oh man, a beautiful thing happened today. I crushed a ZvT so hard that my opponent just up and gg'd after two failed attacks that got absolutely nowhere. For once I feel like I had good macro!
