Lol you just got funday Monday'd. This week's was 3 base before gas as protoss/terran.
I was gonna say "deny his 3rd as long as possible", but then I saw the game lol. In general though, I think that's key against skytoss. At MLG Raleigh, I actually played a match against a diamond toss who went skytoss as standard. First game, I won with mutas into ling/corruptor/infestor because I managed to deny his 3rd for a long time with the mutas. Second game was much harder (and subsequently, I lost) because I failed to do that. Third game I just roach/ling AI'd because I didn't want to deal with it again lol.
If they skimp on cannons, multi-pronged attacks work very well too. Kinda like playing vs mech in ZvT, skytoss isn't actually that quick despite flying. That amount of cannons is actually normal though, I was told. My opponent did that and said that you float a lot of minerals doing that style, so just build cannons.
You should have focused on missile upgrades too IMO once you realized it was skytoss. Lings aren't going to be useful at all because they only thing they can do is counterattack, but that won't work at all vs the cannon numbers he has. But at least you can help out the ITs by upgrading them.
