First off, my apologies to gospy and goofy (Ty for being good sports though). I was just being a jackass tbh. To be frank I'm not really upset at all (And I love kittens FYI). I just truly think protoss is the toughest to learn from the ground up at a low level since as I said, each matchup is vastly different from the P standpoint as it stands. Also, gateway units without upgrades scale much more poorly than other stuff in the game.

As a whole, Pecota should try to learn to execute a build or 2 well before transitioning into different play (He should also definitely work on a good hotkey setup and make sure not to miss probes/pylons). I would suggest: 3 gate robo, 4 gate, and 1 base colossus. Each build can be used in each matchup at that level, and it's a decent variety. Again, sorry to goofy and gospy.

Toss is the easiest race, that's why I play it.

If Pecota wants to seriously get better at Toss, he should also consider investing in some better, more streamlined equipment for his race.

the "s" and "d" keys are severely worn while the rest of the keyboard looks brand new

It's not hard to make 3 hatches and a roach warren either. See, 2 can play the "Make no substantial point" game

I actually use protoss because the style of play typically associated with that race was appealing to me. It helps that it's easy to learn at first, but I'd love to be able to play at a high level where I can have fun with protoss micro.

Also, would a set of foot pedals be legal in competitive play? What if the guy only had one hand?

Maybe if you have no idea what you are doing though I don't know if that's what you are implying by saying "from the ground up".
