DRG and Stephano both have such sick ZvP but I don't think I can learn from it much. I'm too bad at the game to apply anything I see effectively but I have been trying to get replays to study all the same.

Getting super tilted. My beefy gaming PC has some weird issue running SC2 where as the game gets longer, the game starts to lag more and more (latency, not frames). I'll occasionally just get dropped from longer games. The repair tool doesn't work, reinstalling doesn't work, changing the settings around doesn't seem to work.

It sucks too because I just got a 120hz monitor (which btw is super sick for all things gaming, would highly recommend). Sooo smooth until the lag starts.

I have a laptop I can use to play lag free, but it is just annoying that I can't use my desktop. So it's not a network issue either.

You could scout for the gas at the expansion a little bit more, could tip off some strats, also i'm not sure how DRG does it but you seem to have overmade roaches when you stopped the attack (there was like 13 roaches in production when the attack was stopped) granted it's hard to judge that one

Yeah i think that is my problem. I spend too much time going "well, he's attacking soon...he's just waiting for another round of warp ins." By the time I actually decide that he isn't attacking me he usually has enough stuff to hold me off

luckily every protoss I play 2 base all ins me so this rarely happens

most GMs will stomp you then and won`t have anything by training with you.

maybe, at least i want to face em to see how well/bad i'll do. I believe that my skill level is top25 masters at least, i just don't have the time to grind all the games needed to get there since i find it a waste of my time.

I would say that you fare no chance against a GM player, but since it's bugged as hell and fills up with random masters players, maybe you could take games. But those players aren't GM level obviously. I will say that, based on personal experience, you'd get stomped by anyone who actually deserves GM.

i guess the only way you can beat a better player than you is by some type of a "build order win" or some cheese play. Playing standard and macro games wont be the case most of the time.

that was one of the things i enjoyed about the winter arena, seeing pros throw in 6 pool 10 pool 11/11 rax proxy 2 gate and kinds of random **** along with the macro games.

i agree. seemed like there was alot of randomization/game theoryish (R/P/S) openings from the koreans. then there were ppl like naniwa who said '**** you, i'm 17 nexusing every time' (other than that last game vs. nestea haha).

Becuase they can`t beat each other in macro games?

Going through this Playhem drama that Katu said that Dragon was potentially kicked off of Slayers for cheating in someway. Which is basically true. Then Dragon fanboys lost their mind on Katu because of an offhand comment. Katu gets kicked out of playhem as a caster, Playhem is now sending Dragon to IPL4.

It was probably a little over the top by Katu, but I mean, the community is still a bunch of TMZ-esque drama whores. In fact, that first comment about him stream-watching when the roaches were coming is completely fine IMO. I mean, he has a legitimate point that Dragon randomly goes for a tech lab despite not having any apparent idea about roaches. Then again, if you know a roach AI is coming (and if he was stream-cheating, he'd have known way before that), why do you start a 3rd CC and wait until the roaches are almost at your front before starting a tech lab?

The whole thing is just a giant cluster****, and Dragon's absurdly lucky. Now he has an open invite to IPL4 qualifiers. Tbh, I don't get why he has so many fans. I guess he's like Destiny or something, where he's really personable on stream? But every time I've ever seen it, he's just trolling bronze players on a smurf. If I wanted to watch that, I'd just go do it myself.
