I've lost to probe rushes twice now

I probably will post the replay later so people can both laugh at me and also tell me what I should have done differently.

my MMR is down to playing all diamond players. just lost to one who tried to 3 pylon block and failed.

he still beat me easily.

how do i go from good to terrible in like one day? i dont even know what happened?

and now a 1 base DT rush to another diamond player.

honestly i dont understand how i went from being near high masters a week ago to now being absolutely ****ing awful?

ya, my MMR is in the toilet at the moment as well. I'm kinda worried about getting demoted.

yeah but iwas playing super well like a week ago playing high 800-900 guys... didnt take a break or anything. just one day started losing and i havent stopped.

I feel like there should be a dt shrine in there somewhere.

finished above 500 for the night i think, but have lost like 18 of my last 31. pretty sure im about to be demoted. the people i was losing to were lolbad.

anyone honestly have any ideas what has happened to my game? i mean my mmr jumped to like 1k masters guys/top 8 guys... i lost like 4 of 8 or so and then went on a MASSIVE losing streak... then my MMR settled at low masters/high diamond and ive just been going .500.

i mean my game is now absolute garbage. there's no doubt the losing streak is in my head and it's just making me play worse and worse and worse. not sure how to break it. every night i get on feeling good, warm up, and then just lose lose lose lose lose lose lose.

I think your posts are indicative of what's happening. You are way overthinking it/worrying about it. You shouldn't even know your record of last 31 games. You are probably anxious nervous because of it, getting into an endless cycle of thinking I have to win this game every time, or being ahead early and then just mentally having a block because you can't bear to lose whilst ahead, or whilst knowing exactly what's coming etc etc. Are you watching every replay of losses?

Meanwhile the guy second in my league is playing hardcore the last 3 days trying to take over me at the top of dat Bronze league. Problem for him he keeps losing like 5 straight every time he gets close. Its the newb version of Karak from the EU servers I think . I have over 800 points at the minute, I should be promoted for next season right? I am already playing silvers and winning at least 50% vs them, even beat a gold recently.

So your basic advice is stop worrying about losing and how to fix it? I mean... I appreciate the sentiment, but it's not gonna get me anywhere.

and no I'm not "nervous." That would be really silly. Nervous for what? To lose 15 points?

I just want to figure out what has gone wrong in my game. Have you ever heard of someone getting the yips in golf? He typically just doesn't go "OH WELL!" and keep playing and shooting 120s.

I have had the yips before in golf. I cured it by not giving a **** anymore. Seriously.

I'd recommend playing WNF tonight and crushing it, but the way it sounds like you're playing, you'll lose to GGI's 4gate.

Same thing happened with me as ive already told you. Went from 850+ players and winning to losing to mid diamonds within a 4 day stretch.

I took a break from playing ladder, played some with you and a few others in customs. Tried to actually fix issues that I was having, defending muta harass, losing to cheese that I normally stomp, etc. Also realized in a couple of spots I was getting too greedy which contributed a lot to some losses.

One other thing that I know was hurting me is just playing really tired. When SC2 is the last thing you do every day after work + school + other life crap, then a lot of those days you aren't going to be as sharp as normal. ****ty thing is, how are you going to fix this.....you pretty much can't.

Your league rank has nothing to do with whether or not you're going to get promoted soon.

I mean, indirectly it sort of does because if you're at the top of your league that means you're probably winning more than you're losing, but being number 1 in your league doesn't mean you're going to get promoted at the start of next season.

That said, it sounds like you're well on your way to being promoted, as am I. I'm number 1 in my bronze league with just under 800 points. I've beaten many golds, but sometimes I still lose to bronze players. I've just stopped thinking I know that I'm about to be promoted because I've felt that way for quite some time now.

If I just keep getting better and keep focusing on my macro I know it will happen sooner rather than later.

So ****ing sick of running into these ****ing people who purposely drop down to bronze.

Dude has been diamond the past 4 seasons. **** **** **** I don't know why that last one pissed me off so much, usually I dont' give a ****.

I don`t really understand how people can be bronze so long(I started in gold as Protoss and in Silver as Zerg)

lol2k, how many games won do you have in bronze? what's keeping you there right now?

I'd venture to guess Diamond players who tanked their MMR?
