PvZ on one of the new maps.

History: My first game was against this same guy. I knew he made a fast pool, but when I was scouting I only saw 2 zerglings so I thought I had some time. Then he shows up with like 8 lings and kills me quickly.

Second game I get him again, same map. He tries it again. I still do a terrible job at holding it, but he pissed me off and I got stuck in my base so I figured, **** it...



I hit the motherload of all motherload overlords. It made me happy.

As long as you play one game in a season, your MMR carries over. That is, if you played season 3, but not at all season 4, then your season 3 MMR wouldn't be carried to season 5 if you started playing again. Basically, as long as you played a single game last season, then yes.

I really thought te lower leagues are more cheesy, but apparently everyone tries to play macrogames against me.

I stomped my last opponents all pretty much, just against one I missed an overlord because I somehow had a drone on my hotkey instead of the hatch, I was suppyblocked for 10 secs earlygame which pretty much killed me.

So I`m 6:1 and at moment I`m playing platinums guess in 2-3 days I´m diamond with Zerg.

In lower leagues - you'll see two things.

1) 1 base builds
2) Bad macro games.

I win all of the macro games, because these people are terrible. I lose the 1 base builds because my unit control sucks.

I tried to FFE on Arid Plateau yesterday but put the pylon in the wrong spot and got 6 pooled. It wasn't pretty.

The "favored/slightly favored" indicator in the loading screen isn't based on MMR vs MMR, though. It compares your displayed rank (points) to your opponents MMR. So if you were highly ranked in your league last season then your MMR will be matching you up against other people who were highly ranked last season. So it will keep showing your opponents as "favored" because your opponent has a high MMR and you have a low displayed rank (zero points). This will keep happening until you win enough games that your points will align with your MMR.

This is why at the beginning of the season, highly ranked players will almost always see their opponents as being favored. Its entirely possible for you to see your opponent as favored in the loading screen while he sees you as favored.

my random smurf acct just played its first masters opponent. luckily i drew protoss and held his 10 pool + bling all in. went into +1 zealots and DTs and won. eztoss

I just veto it. I haven't really given it a chance, but I very much doubt any tournament is going to use either of the new maps, so I just said "**** it" and vetoed them.

Thats what I want to do but I already have 3 maps vetoed.

XNC/Shak Plat/TDA/Shattered are good for us.

Its metal, shak, and xnc. xnc lags my computer when I am in the middle of the map, no clue why as no other map does that. And you can't do a good ffe on xnc can you?

I'm convinced my win rate on TD is like 75%+, I love that map, and with no ramp its really hard to stop a 4 gate, and you can ffe vs zerg.

I don't like antiga but I don't hate it either. I really like meal as a map but you can't ffe so I vetoed it .

Also if anyone wants to play customs on the new maps plz pm me or message me in game. I'll gladly actually try or just mess around to get building placements/timings/what ever else.

You do realize that 1g/expo is just as good as FFE, right? And you can pressure zerg behind it.

1G expo isnt as good as FFE, and 1G expo on XNC is suicide. Have fun holding off mass ling with zeal and two sentries warping in one unit at a time.

5 gate with like 10 sentry nexus cancel is golden on XNC.

Just get +1 attack with all the extra minerals! :P

Any sane zerg downvotes XNC because TvZ on that map is just beyond ******ed.
