I've never beat a zerg that goes muta ling when I'm protoss (or terran or zerg). I just played one where I scout his spire 1/2 way done and I still ****ing lose. What a pathetic feeling.

I think I'm too jaded towards SC2 and am just not getting any better as my house is always ****ing cold and my fingers are always ****ing cold, deterring me from playing.

Losing to zerg going muta ling with every race is so tilting. They do this thing where they don't even saturate their 3rd before having like 16 mutas pop out. I can't win. ****.

I think now that Karak has left us I'm feeling obliged to take his place or something, wtf, come back Karak!!!

I only just got this game. Played some RTS before mainly AOK and AOC way back when. Also messed around with BW and WC3 but not even online. So I understand the principles involved.

I have played the comp like 20 custom games or so and am just starting to be able to beat it on very hard difficulty (lol I know). Just found the useful links sticky thanks for that, it will help greatly.

Was just wondering if I could perhaps get some games with fellow 2+2ers to practice? I don't mind literally getting completely stomped over and over. You get 50 practice games that are not ranked only on your account and it might sound stupid but I don't think I am even good enough to play those yet. I am playing as Zerg because they are awesome obv.

go to the channel 'twoplustwo' and you'll find a ton of people there wanting to get a game. read team liquid and liquidpedia for build orders.

Just play matchmaking. The entire point of the ranking system is such that, no matter how good or bad you are, you should be able to find an even match. It works very well.

In Bnet? Cool thanks. I have been on team liquid a bit today, finding it hard to navigate, kinda like twoplustwo I suppose in that will take a while to find good information. You played AOC as well iirc? Man I miss that game. Wish they updated it like Blizzard did with BW.

Ok you guys have inspired me to grow some balls. I will let you know how many minutes I lasted.

I don't think beating the AI on X difficulty means anything. It's really about how you can exploit the AI's weaknesses than actually being good.

The computer mineral/gas cheats on very hard and insane. They don't employ any kind of real BO, they just swarm you with whatever they feel like making. You really can't employ any special BO's that are not basically 1 base-ish vs the AI. You won't win many 1v1's vs insane AI due to the cheating.

That being said, I'm mid gold and a really bad mid-gold and I'm like 50-60% win rate vs very hard. It really depends if I can hold the first push without catastrophic losses. I'm fairly certain that diamond+ have the mechanics to almost never lose to a very hard.

But yeah, losing to the AI isn't a good judge on how good or how bad you are at this game. Once you figure out the trick, it doesn't matter.

I can confirm. I never lose 1v1 vs. Very Hard AI and I used to be diamond. It's all about just being ready for the attack or beating them to the punch if you ask me. As long as your macro is somewhat decent and your unit composition is acceptable, losing should be very hard to do.

I went to my high school's basketball game tonight and there is a kid on the team who looks exactly like Naniwa. It's about as close to a perfect match as you can get.
