stephano is playing a ZvT on his stream right now he's on 6 bases with a hive and his composition is ling/queen. lol. he has 150 lings and 16 queens this is nuts.

ya i watched that game that was really funny.

i had a friend who was a diamond terran keep telling me that macro wasnt his problem it was micro holding him back (while i was, obviously, trying to stress to him that it was his macro that was preventing him from advancing).

i openly challenged him to beat me when i was restricted to only making drones, queens or lings in the game. i was allowed to make 2 spines to defend any early marine pressure.

i won and it wasnt even remotely close. mass ling is just a bitch for some people, even if they go mass siege tank or hellion. lings can be scary cost effective with an upgrade advantage over terran units.

obviously it isnt so easy once they catch up in upgrades.

Well I think the only thing holding me back advancing (Well didn`t play a game yet this season anyway) are my forcefields. Really I suck forcefielding.

GGI, you seemed to have mastered the 4 gate. i would suggest learning a few new builds- not only for variation, but for helping your macro skills as well. (says the guy who just 8 gates or double stargate vs. zergs all in every game these days)..but ya.

Yeah, I agree with you.

I would love to know how to FFE correctly. And I would love a good robo or expand build vs toss. But 4 gate is easy, imo, and it gets games over one way or another quickly.

after i identify this, here are my options:

a) take a nap and play later
b) just go to bed since you only slept 4 hours last night
c) watch football
d) play 40 games

lots of variations you can do though. you can get up an earlier cyber core for tech. you can do double gateways and chrono out zealots and either do a stargate timing hit and/or take a super early 3rd (on a map like shattered temple). etc.

If you're doing a 13 forge, I think you should do a 17 nexus. Not a big deal but I believe thats the standard.

Meh, trying to install SC2 on my laptop, so I have NA and EU versions on there, but my laptop antivirus thinks that the sc2 cd is a trojan.

also, a note w. FFE- if you see the zerg is really early pooling, you should build a pylon in your base and then build a forge in your mineral line. it should line up pretty damn close w. the completion/lings coming to your base, depending on the spawn location/map. use your probes accordingly and then win.

I assume you mean cannon. Then by win just proxy 2 gate . The rage will be worth it.
