But walling at the bottom prevents the opponent from getting up the ramp & therefore prevents them from getting vision, so T units can shoot down from the high ground while the opponent has to make it through the barracks first (or run an air unit over the cliff for vision, which the T player can attempt to target to take sight away again). I definitely liked Silver's play imo.

I'd much rather be able to get a concave and hit some buildings from safety than have to walk all the way up into a choke before I can hit anything at all. I think it was just the newness of it that prevented Idra from abusing it.

You know you can lower the depots so the scv can get out? Select depot and hit 'r'

Why do you have to cancel the next building? Try spreading your buildings out a bit, you don't have to have everything clustered.

Short of getting walled by an add-on, you should be able to get the scv get out.

Then you just raise the rax/factory/starport.

It's 100% impossible to get an SCV walled in unless you intentionally do it with reactors or tech labs.

I still think it's impossible to get walled in as Terran.

It doesn't matter how wide the terrain is. If the SCV got walled in by an add-on, you'll pretty much always be able to lift the building it's attached to to get out.

But again, SCV's don't build addons. They build main buildings and depots. Both of which can be lowered/lifted so there's NO way to get one stuck.

Engineering bay walled me in, built it next to a tree lol. Also the next building gets cancelled if an scv is temporarily walled in because it cant get to it.

I forget whose video showed it but apparently moving past the thors (they don't clump together with a regular move order) and then hitting stop right when the first one reaches the thor ends up in a nice surround (they take a while to come to a stop).

I lost like 10 of my last 12 games.. i'm on sc tilt :P really annoying to constantly lose at this game. Coincidentally it happened when I moved up to Plat.. I guess i need to be better. It's funny though in SC just like poker you can be playing your C game when you're annoyed.
