Perhaps it's just me but I lose following a failed 7 pool more than I win following a failed 4 gate. I probably just don't transition properly. Usually I just 4 gate but losing my gateway really put me in a tough spot.

if you get a cannon and gateway down before a 7 pool does any damage to your probes and you lose because you placed both poorly, that's pretty much your fault as you had an automatic win if you could place buildings properly.

also i dont think ive ever recovered from a failed 7 pool to go onto win and ive 7 pooled quite a bit in my time.

and ive lost to plenty of failed 4 gates.

i honestly think toss should prob never lose to a 7 pool unless you are going nexus first or forge-> nexus.

and my favorite protoss are the ones who go nexus first then berate the **** out of me for being a cheeser if i 11 overpool. ok bro. nexus first is legit and standard tho.

In anything but close positions a failed 4 gate is pretty easy to stop.

By failed I mean I took no probe damage. I was ahead in probes for a decently long time, I just didn't know what to do after my gate got delayed.

had lunch at like 4, karak im'd me at like 5:30 asking if I wanted to have dinner immediately. I was still kinda hungry so said sure. met him in chinatown at ~6:25 (according to 2p2) along with Pecota, we walked around until we ran into Graffiato, which I've had a couple times and it's tasty, so we went there. were seated immediately since it was still early on a Friday. had some tasty food and a bottle of wine for the table.

went to ultra bar to meet up with karak's friends (white josh and black josh). was super empty at first (this was ~9:45) but filled up very quickly with all kinds of attractive people. not gonna TR interactions cause that's not how I roll, but at the end of the night, Karak and I were going downstairs (under the influence, but not out of line or out of the ordinary imo), and there was an employee of the bar (security or a bouncer I think) right behind us who was annoyed by our inability to shove past the crowd in the stairwell. he kept yelling at us to hurry up, we were going at a normal speed (perhaps a bit slow). when we got to the bottom, I subtly (dont think he heard me), asked if he was mad, then his fellow bouncers by the entrance forcefully shoved Karak out the door. He fell down and grabbed his face, apparently they hit him, I didn't really see it. We left, chatted with a cop outside (who told us it was in our best interest to just leave. I agreed), then took separate cabs home.

so the last game of the day in the GSL code A qualifiers was a ZvP on antiga shipyard and zerg lobs infested terrans from his main into toss's 3rd. they really need to do something about that and the fact that tanks can seige that gap as well.

I've been wondering, do the guys who set up and run those starcraft houses arrange some pussy for these guys?

Or is it on them to practice 12 hours a day, every day, then go out and get it if they want?

Seems +EV to help them out in that department as I'm sure most of them don't have the time and it has to negatively impact their play at least a bit, no?
