pretty tilted w/ terran right now. i win my fair share of games but when i lose its just dumb bull**** that i can't do anything about. hatch first is auto loss vs 11/11. if you open speed first you're either dead or eventually going to lose vs reactor hellion because you don't have an economy. that doesn't even factor in the times you will auto lose vs cloak and if you spend the money to defend vs cloak you're dead to any marine/tank timing. AND YOU CAN'T SCOUT ANY OF THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well i guess you can scout the reactor hellion but that doesn't do you any good because if you make roaches you're already way behind.

So I just bought a TW account. Hopefully the lag isn't too bad.

Installing this is a ****ing nightmare. I don't understand anything that I have clicked lol. I had to trial and error my way enumerating every possibility just to install it. I have no clue what I did, but numerous dialog boxes that I can only assume are warnings because of the exclamation point and yellow triangle popped up.

So I finally got it working. It remembers all your settings which is pretty sick. I screenshot my settings just in case lol.

First game I get PvT on Shattered. Guy 6 raxes me. Not 6 barracks but builds a barracks on 6 supply. I kill his scv with a probe and he doesn't realize it right away but then after a while he tries to go siege, I kill him with a 4 gate.

Next game, guy goes for a more standard like 12 rax or w/e. I kill 2 scvs building the barracks. He tries to go quick reactor + tanks. Stays on one base for 15 min. I take 4 bases just to see if it lags before killing him.

So KR bronze is pretty bad. Also there is no lag. At least not in those 2 games, it runs fine.

i started a notepad to keep a count of how many games vs protoss ill lose cause i rally all my overlords to their death while fending off a timing after FFE

im up to 6 in the last 10 days. 4 tonight alone. pretty cool.

also ive apparently completely forgotten how to play. i havent played seriously all week other than 3 games i played while tilting, and i just have no concept of what to do to win anymore. my mmr has tanked really low and im facing all like 500ish point guys and losing to them. i have like 1500-2k in the bank pretty much every game i lose.

it's incredible how 7 days off and i go from doing really well to just completely ****ing clueless. i just sit there on larva with n o idea what units to make, when to make drones, nothin.

10-20 in my last 30. cool. losing to people who are at a lower point level that people i was crushing with ease before, which is amazing when you consider how quickly the points inflate. that means they are like doubly lower.

3 of the games ive lost tonight ive died with 2k minerals in the bank and 50 gas.

5-0 placed in plat still no lag. Don't want to make a judgement off such a small sample, but it seems playable. I blink owned some zerg on xnc and it was fine.

SUPER beat (and what caused me to post this) : Got locked out of my townhouse, but my second story floor is open. I try to climb with the help of a ladder, but the guard rail supports come loose a second after holding them. I fall a whole story onto a wooden deck.

Variance: I wanted to golf today, but I can't. However, I suffered only a slight contusion to my right wrist & elbow due to perfect landing. I feel like I could be a stunt man.

I just played this plat zerg on Shakuras, I go ffe, he takes a quick third and makes 89 ****ing drones by the 12 min mark. That's insane. He lost cause he couldn't stop voids but still.

It's interesting, platinum players can 4 gate and have 250 apm. Not as good as me, but it's closer than I thought. Still no lag. Plays just like NA for me.

i'm actually interested to see what happens to apm when blizzard adjusts in the next patch.

Im probably diamondish level on TW server. Some platinums are pretty good.

Thats nuts. What skill level do you figure you're at judging off of your small sample? Masters gonna be tough?

alright, so i turned off p2p downloading in the options of the client downloader and i'm moving at around 350 down. so maybe it wont take till next week. gotta go to work in a few hours, will prolly be done when i get home. ill mess around with the starter edition and if there isnt too much latency, i'll probably end up buying an acct

when you install the TW client, do you have to do anything to your original SC2 install, like rename it or something so it doesn't overwrite it?

I'm playing diamond players now. They like blink and they can micro it about as good as I can. The thing that keeps me afloat is strategy I think. All of these players have more apm and probably better technical skills. But I know timings and strategy a little better. Plus they do builds and if they don't work they just keep ramming ahead until they lose, they can't really adapt yet. I think once I win a few more games it's gonna be really tough to beat players who are both strategically and technically sound.

I don't see why I can't get masters. That's my goal anyway.

The zergs really know how to macro and the toss can 4 gate. Terrans just 1-1-1. Over like 11 games tho. If the lag remains nonexistent I'll prob do most of my laddering there.

^^No clue, I just changed the install directory from .../Starcraft II to .../Starcraft IITW and it works fine. I just have two shortcuts now. It took me a while to figure that out though. I can probably help you through it.
