as soon as i find an apartment in dc ill schedule it. i have classes starting monday and no apartment locked down yet due to an unfortunate event with my future (still probably) roommate, so where i am 24 hours from now is at all times in flux.

Man toward the end of s2 I felt like I was playing so well. Now I do the stupidest **** that makes no sense.

This guy 2 gates into a crappy 4 gate and I hold super easy with 3 gates. Then I go robo+tc and scout him with a ton of zealots. I have pylons on both sides of the map and his nat on XNC. So he can't ninja an expo. I know he's going dt + charge but being the idiot that I am I actually go down my ramp and force an engagement.

In my head, I'm like, just sit back, macro, and ff your ramp, he can't do anything, I don't understand why I do this stuff. Like 20% army size lead and probe lead and I just throw it away.

Then there are those games where I am obviously way better than the opponent and just roll and it's like wow, I never had games this easy last season. I'm so bad at this game.

I had one of those games yesterday, kinda similar actually.
Was going to 2 rax 1tech 1 react expo
drop a money scan, see the DT shrine only like 25% complete.
put up an ebay, get turrets, start my expo in base, so way ahead. but he just got me in a position where i couldn't take my expo. it was pathetic. ended up losing with epic fail.

if i just tech up to starport, make a raven and banshees, easy gg.

If he lost against a Zerg close position spawn, it's almost certainly a combination of you playing very well and him playing very bad. Toss/Terran should basically never lose close position ST vs Z.

when you say that, do you mean you generally lose to a standard 4 gate? 6 gate ? i had ST vetoed forever and don't have very much experience on it (other than auto losing to terran on close spawns).

honestly lose to pretty much anything as long as they don't fast expand with no pressure. zerg has to have time to react and build units OR decide to build economy. that is taken away with close position. also it is the most vulnerable race in the game early game if you didn't 6/7 pool which obv you can't do blind.

against terran i either leave or bling bust/roach rush. depends on my mood. i honestly think terran should lose 0% of the time in close position. a toss that doesn't 2 gate can prob reasonably lose some small % of the time. i sometimes just leave vs protoss too, but on ST i just 11 pool into a 3 roach/sling rush now.

but really if you just pylon scout and see a close position zerg... throw down another gateway and chrono out zealots. or an early zealot/stalker harass can be pretty destructive. if he turtles on 1 base, you can just do the same since 1 base toss > 1 base zerg.

obv the toss players will know the BOs/whatever that are effective better than i will. you can also do weird **** like cannoning him in or proxying a stargate right next to his base, etc.

those changes look pretty good all around imo.

all except for the mothership acceleration increase seems a bit absurd to go for .3 to 1.375. i mean i don't really know what the acceleration does but seems a bit drastic?
