just played first game in a week. it's so nice when some zerg prods with hydras, sees my robotics bay, and then thinks "ah, what counters colossi? more hydras!"

i played D1 a littel but that was it, never played D2.

I play with him sometimes.

He nuked his MMR before the season reset so he started in bronze this season. Won every game until he got to masters.

I got to rank 1 masters last season on my friends account doing variations of this rush, you just have to adjust to various crap you see from different races.

For example, any protoss who is platinum or higher won't let your 20 marines pour up their ramp because of force field, so I fixed this by building a proxy rax next to the protoss base and floating it in just before I wanted to attack with all my marines and SCVs. E v e r y single protoss (including a few GMs I got matched vs. near the end) would invariably take all of his stalkers and sentries, and right click the floating barracks. Then all my stuff poured up his ramp and viola, free win.

The biggest trouble was just competent zergs who opened 14/14 and scouted well and then there are a few blind random build order losses when playing against terran.

watching some old funday mondays, day9 hit the money with this comment:

"two starport openings are really good, even in normal games! how does protoss deal with banshees? they leave the game and hope to spawn against a zerg"

ive never actually lost to a 6rax while even going hatch first. in fact, i feel more comfortable defending it with hatch first. ive even defended it after failing to scout it before too, but that's cause that guy sucked.

If you're in diamond or masters then it simply means you're very good!

If you're in a lower league, though, this result might be because your opponent is not executing the rush very well.

In any case, sounds like you're doing something right.

lol I had someone try to do this to me a few games ago. I'm Toss obv. Crushed it. Pretty lol worthy imo. I find it very hard to believe that at masters or higher every single protoss pulls all his units.
