so i guess this is good for huk, but do we know how the idra thing is going to work? will he get a code a gift given where he was when he left, or will he have to qualify in? as i kind of think he'll get smashed if he has to play in

i haven't verified this, but i read a comment that he may have code a as a top foreign finisher at MLG

look at his results since he left korea. his skill has been in decline. he knows korea is where he needs to be if he wants a chance to compete at the highest level.

also he saw that he could just fly around to the foreign tournaments like huk has been doing while playing GSL and training with koreans. i think GOM has become much more accommodating to players playing in foreign tournaments since Idra left korea.

as far as Idra in GSL goes, GOM would have to be bat-**** insane not to give idra at least a code A seed. the viewership he would generate is hard to pass up.

he couldve gotten code A for sure but now its probably too late.

He could also get another code A spot if he performs at MLG raleigh I suppose.

it'd be really funny when he draws MC after he loses up/down matches without huk's expert tactical hints

I think there was a policy in place at the start of Code A that was basically "any winner of a major foreign tournament can get a Code A seed by asking". Idra won IPL1, so I wonder if he can use that to leverage a seed. Given his propensity to tilt super easily, I don't really like his chances in Code B that much, though he's likely still good enough to breeze through.

i think its still really risky for him. I don't think anyone would disagree that he's not in top form right now. Even if he is awarded a code A spot, lose your first match, and you are screwed.

I need to stop making infestors, my battle micro is so clumsy. I'll have like 6 infestors and manage to cast 2 or 3 fungals before they all die due to my poor control.

I should probably just mass roaches and get to 3/3 as fast as i can and hopefully A-move to victory.

Not really. It sort of evened out toward the end. I'm losing a lot of games from scouting last on huge maps. Last I checked I was like 5-14 PvP when I'm like 65% lifetime at the matchup. At least 3/4 of those losses are cannon rushes and 2 gates that I just couldn't scout fast enough. I have also lost to numerous 6 and 7 pools as a result of scouting last. Fortunately I now use the Time method of not walling off so that hasn't happened recently.

I lost 2 games today to zergs because I thought I had a tight wall and didn't. It's just dumb mistakes on my part.

Fwiw, I'm pretty sure my points were way less than my mmr last season. I was 1.7k points but I was playing 1.8-9k. I got matched up against 2 gms and a guy who is like top 100 masters.

When I was winning games I felt like I was hitting decent timings and microing well. Now I feel like everything I do is figured out or predicted perfectly. Maybe it's just the narrow range of timings protoss has, I don't know. I feel like I can't do all kinds of all ins that I used to be able to do, but at the same time, it's super super hard to macro. Speaking about z obviously.

i lost game 1 to Zefa yesterday because my scouting zergling was 1 square too low to see his army walking across the map, and he was like 1 square out of range of my watchtower on metal. I had more than enough to crush it + reinforcements if I would have been in position. as played, he walks up and forcefields my ramp and i die.
