On the other hand you have players who will gg sometimes even in winning situations, for example idra ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G0nDsBOzeA4 ) watch that video, lol.
So weird.

Some people tend to not want to fight an almost unwinnable situation, especially in tournaments because it is really tiring, and they just want to focus on the next game. and they don't see the potential risk of playing the next game worse because of the previous lengthy game for the "1 in a million" win
I think forcing for every building to be destroyed to win a game wouldn't work, even on ladder it could be extremely annoying
Fair enough.
I personally think that at least the biggest of the big tournaments should have a fight til the last man rule because it's almost as much about the spectators as it is about the players (ad revenue, growing the game, ticket sales, etc), but I understand the counter argument and don't think it's crazy or anything.
The thing is, when people are in high pressure situations they will sometimes make mistakes they'd never otherwise make. So if a player has a decisive advantage, there's always the chance that he trips over himself because he feels the pressure of closing out a situation that he knows he should close out. Then eventually there would be the "remember when that one player came back from (insert SC lingo that I don't know yet)? That was so sick, etc."
Anyway, I'm a total SC noob so obviously what I'm saying needs to be taken with a grain of salt.
