Brag: Crushing face in 2v2 RT.
Beat: Average diamond 2v2 player is somewhere between excruciatingly bad and completely horrible.
Variance: Switched from T to Z in 2v2 because taking on the other team all by myself felt wrong.

I can verify this, and I know I'm considerably worse than you are.

I won a 1v2 today against a diamond team that fail cannon rushed me.

My guess: average diamond player in 2v2 RT = gold/plat in 1v1.

They need to take out stim from marauders, and make vikings range an upgrade like everything else.

Actually, the fact that they spawn with 9range and can be produced 2 at a time with a reactor pisses me off to no end.
At the very least make them require a tech lab.

on another note, ive been doing pretty bad vs zerg lately as I usually go bio pretty much always. But now all diamond zergs are massing banelings mutas with a few infestors, which kills me pretty easily it would seem.


anyway, looking for diamond zergs to practice some mech play.

Hmmz , owned 6 diamonds in a row now and I`m first in plat now, diamond soon weeeeee

Beat: I still suck at micro/macro basically anything.
Variance: Somehow I still win

Last game was epic vs a terran had an 180 supply army with ~6 colloseus some sentry a lot of stalkers some zealots, with my observer I saw that he is with his whole army at a Xelnagawatchtower on a highpoint with a ramp, forcefielding the ramp and then pwning with colloseus was fun

it's certainly helpful, but you dont need mech to beat zerg. ive started mixing in 2-3 siege tanks to fall back on if im losing a battle, but im still bio heavy. key is to just micro well. stim away from the banelings + marauder slow will let you clip some of them off (although they will get you eventually). then you just need to move your marauders up to the front of your ball to absorb all the banelings... following that marines will rape mutas + lings.

mixing a few banshees into the composition to pluck away at the banelings while stimming are good... mutas tend to stay away until marines get baneling'd. a thor or 2 doesnt hurt either, but i dont think they are necessary.

yeah the more I was thinking about it the more I realize that I harass less than before, I used to go hellion harass into cloak harass while expanding and then fire up 4-5 rax and go bio while switching reactor for medivacs.


I think ive lost track of that build and started doing stuff like fast expands with mass barracks which is pretty bad if your opponent sees it and he just macros up way faster than you and runs you over with like 4 bases vs 2...

v. zerg i typically go hellion drop into banshee harass. as the banshees are harassing im placing my 2nd and starting to pump up my MMM ball. continual harass as i take my 3rd, 4th, 5th... if zerg never attacks me i just take over the entire map and then it's pretty much over. if he does attack i counter with my MMM ball and GG assuming my harass has been effective. even if it hasn't been super effective, it's distracting enough to get at least a 3rd up. i also use planetary fortresses pretty often v. zerg

if he's a good zerg that is constantly attacking and harassing me as well, then im often forced into mech/tanks, which im never happy about.

army trading with a zerg that is matching you in macro isnt gunna turn out well, and that's what happens too often with MMM and a good zerg keeping his macro up/superior to yours

what you meant to say was that zerg will put infestor fungal growth on your units so you cannot move at all and then roflstomp you with banelings if you only have bio.

well if zerg has a substantial army of zerlings, banelings, mutas and infestors then ive done an awful job of harass and map control, have allowed the zerg to expand in a massive way and deserve to lose. that's a very expensive army to maintain gas wise.

if you want to know the actual gas cost of that, im sure grey can tell you.
