temps were fantastic...usually it's super hot in the valley this time of year, but for some reason it was perfect climbing weather- 70ish.

this is a slackline made by some climbers. alot of crazy asses walk on those things across huge voids...disturbed in the head or something. one slip and they die lol...

I was talking about my bonus pool last night in the 2p2 chat channel, but everybody was playing.

Anyways, last night I had a bonus pool of 7. The problem is that I hadn't played a game in 23 hours, so by the old calculation, I should have had a bonus pool of around 12.

I was just casually looking around through the Blizzard SC2 forums and found this:

Master's gets 90pts per week while all of the other leagues only get 50pts per week. The team games bonus pools were changed as well.

Well, if I were to speculate, I would say that Blizzard probably knows that the most active players are the ones at the top of the ladder, and that makes sense. For the more casual players who are more commonly in lower leagues, I bet spending 90 bonus pool per week could get pretty daunting. They probably lowered it to make it more manageable for players who tend not to play as often.

It's important to remember that Bonus Pool is primarily an activity measure and should be factored out when attempting to evaluate skill.

Patch is out, but the server is still down.

I think this may have been done to fix the bonus pool issues. My blizzard profile is now showing 17pts when I only had 5pts earlier today.

EDIT: Well I guess there are patch notes now, but I think the BP issue may be undocumented:

That looks like an awesome climbing trip!

I've only done a few short 5.7/5.8 trad climbs in Harpers Ferry. I'm going to be in Santa Barbara all week next week and am going to do some bouldering with a friend who is a beast at climbing.

Well despite building some pretty solid gaming rigs I've never gone beyond onboard sound - until now (well, I just ordered the card). It should solve my inability to get any program to pick up my audio feed and finally let me stream with sound.

Also, nevermind about the Bonus Pool being fixed. I'm only at 5 right now. I should be around 9 or 10pts. (took me 5 seconds to figure that out)

Seems like Blizzard did change it.

Patch ****ed up my game and I can't find my disk anywhere so I have to redownload all 7 GB of the game to reinstall it. 6 hours remaining. Thanks a ****ing lot Blizzard.

Well I did a system restore and now have audio and video streaming, but no SC2 lol. I have the case and everything but somehow just no CD. I wonder if I left it at school. And so the saga continues...

Anyway, wow, I played 3 games today where I am pretty sure I was maphacked. Two were from the same guy who is listed as a confirmed mh'er on the tl thread.

The one I'm not sure about is kinda tricky. He looks over my base at the start of the game(cross positions) and right when I make my robo and then just happens to go stargate. He "scouts" but he also hovers over my base for no reason 3 times. Not as obvious, but still enough to piss me off cause I would never do that.

Epic 2v2 (Only plat level and tbh 1 of their opponents is a bit dodgy and my team mate is only in Bronze but tbh i reckon she's (tvb) like gold level at least) but yea we got rushed-ish and were well behind and managed to pull it out of our asses :x
