I transfer just because I can immediately even my bases out and not worry about oversaturating my main or doing the accounting later.

it's incredibly amazing how many games i lose because i have 10 overlords over the battle and they all die while im reinforcing and then i die with 1400/500 in the bank and 25 larva sitting there to like 5 stalkers

im also quickly beginning to realize why a lot of zergs i know hate tal'darim. prob gonna veto it soon and bring back XNC.

7 gate blink + robo on tal'darim is fairly lol as your 3rd is impossible to defend. and 2 base tank cliff **** is just stupid. altho most terrans are so horrible if you can force them to 3+ base play they are clueless.

but hey man when you're on a losing streak, bnet will give you close position zvt on metalopolis. the most balanced map spawn position in all of starcraft 2.

zerg can make a bunch of workers at once and its cheaper for us to expand.

I'm not sure how being able to make lots of drones quickly makes any difference at all and the cheap expansions is another thing that only makes a difference really late. The only reason it matters at all is because it means you're more likely to have a base to transfer the drones to than another race would and that's as much a factor of the way zergs play than the expansion being cheaper.

If anything I would say terran would be the race that it's best to not transfer as because you can balance the time the bases mine out by dropping all your mules at the natural, so the only downside of transferring is completely eliminated. I'm still convinced that no race should ever transfer unless it's specifically to have workers to help defend at the new base.

Actually nm, I guess that's a fair concern to some degree, but only if you use larva from your nat to make drones. Even then I'm not entirely sure you wouldn't still be better off, but I am willing to concede it's possible.

well the reason you transfer drones is to balance out mining between your bases. if you assume you are not allowed to transfer workers, zerg would obviously be able to balance the mining fastest since they can make more workers at once. ergo transfering workers is less important for zerg.

not saying that zergs shouldn't transfer workers. just that its less of a concern. how much less? who knows lol.

Again, this only effects late game. As far as early game goes it makes literally no difference how quickly you balance the mining between bases, it only has an effect once the main mines out and having 100-150 minerals early is far more important.

Also building drones only from the natural hatchery is another point for zergs not transferring but I don't think anyone actually does this so it's not overly relevant.

lol I'm forever diamond in 1's and decided to play my placement match in 3's yesterday and it placed me in masters.

Having had similar wrist pain there were a few things that helped me.

1. Improve your posture and make sure your hand is level with your table.
2. Stretch before and after each game. Just ball your fist and stretch it up and down and in a circle.
3. Ice helps as does alternating between warm water and cold water.
4. Take a break for a few days if it gets too bad

i had severe carpal tunnel (i would rate it severe i bet it actually wasn't since i had a lot of pain, but i just kept playing (poker) through the pain so got it real bad) and completely fixed it 100%! here's how:

One thing i didn't realize at first was that your arm is twisting when you have your palms facing the horizon and is relaxed when your palms are facing downward. having good sitting posture forces your arm to be able to be in a relaxed position without straining/rotating while you use your mouse. the only other thing i have to say about posture is keep your wrist on the edge of the table so it can create a pivot.

get one of these wrist braces and sleep with one on for a while because you'll **** your wrist down while you sleep and that's a really unhealthy resting position

to stretch out your arm you can **** your wrist and pull on your thumb in all sorts of ways, pinkys too

he's pretty good. making a vid and playing at the same time isnt ez, unlike his opponent.

He's good. But his macro in that game was bad. If he had the infrastructure to tech switch and you know... spend all his money (and there's no reason not to when you have 5k/3k and can't even put a dent in that) he holds that ultra push off much more easily.

lol, in the first vid he talks about the 16 probe transfer thing, that video is actually super helpful and way better than any coaching you can get for a less experienced player imo
