i think TvT is possibly the best spectator match-up in SC2. not best mirror, but best overall. ZvT is the only one I think that can give it a run for its money.

i'm inclined to say zvp due to lack of banshees

tvp is cool if the protoss goes templar, until terran gets ghosts and wins with one emp, two if the p isn't terribad

tvt is probably the best mirror though

its definitely between ZvT and TvT for most epic games. i have to give the edge to ZvT tho. IMNestea vs SCfou and Fruitdealer vs oGsTop were just way too epic.

looool i found myself arguing poker with some casualdonk.jpeg on TL (i dont know why i even waste my time), and I finally jsut gave up for the night and was surfing NVG.

he made a 2+2 account, posted our argument in NVG and was clearly quite upset about it! i was just randomly reading through threads and saw it. lol'd pretty hard. no one had replied yet either. how shocked do you think he'll be when he sees the name of the poster who is the first replier to his post!? (i have the same account name on TL obv)

I've seen the exact same thing said about poker coaching sites as well. It always baffles me completely when some bronze player buys coaching from Destiny or someone else because wtf. There's so much for you to learn that you wont have any good learning until you can do some of the mechanics

I'll take ZvT as the most interesting match, followed by TvT. I find most matchups with P to be kind of boring /bias. High level anything can be cool though, and I have more respect for good PvP lately (but only at really top levels).

Just won a 4v4 monobattle basically single-handedly with mass Thors. My entire team left because muta/banshee wrecked them, so I just rolled the attack and countered.

Do people think there's gonna be a consensus on what the best/most entertaining match-up is? It stands to reason that people's opinions are gonna reflect heavily on the race they play, just as their opinions on balance do. I myself haven't really watched a non-P match-up since like GSL season 2, aside from maybe a few minutes here & there (after which, I wind up turning them off).

Honestly I think any match up involving terran is a lot of fun to watch. There are a ridiculous amount of viable strategies for terran and it is a lot of fun watching the other two races try to deal with it.

But yeah, I play zerg and obviously I gravitate toward watching ZvX just so I can learn some new stuff to try out on ladder.

Meh I think ZvT is boring, ZvP is fun, and ZvZ is terrible.

My personal preferences in matchups usually revolve around who is playing not necessarily what race is playing.

It's possible. I think ZvT was considered to be the 'classic' matchup of bw.

This is basically my thoughts. I find myself enjoying really high-level matchups I really don't give a **** about (PvP in particular). My favorite matchup is probably ZvT, but only if the Terran is on par with the Zerg. If he isn't, it's just such a mismatch, it's almost as bad as 4gate vs 4gate type PvPs.
