HuK is a very very impressive player. I think he would have qualified for this GSL for sure but with the influx of sc1 players coming to sc2 for the next GSL I think it will be interesting to see if he can qualify. I also think he is somewhat of a douche though so I hope not :-). At MLG he carried this ****ing pillow around everywhere with him and would randomly lay down on the floor and act like he was sleeping. He also just puts out this extremely cocky/arrogant persona which I find annoying. They had us all fill out stupid little cards asking us information about us and he answered the "What is your favorite race?" question with "HuK". /rant

Just lost a 54 minute game PvT because I forgot to scout the island expansion........

So I've been taking a break from 1v1 league play lately for a variety of reasons. Mostly I just want to get better, I get pretty frustrated at times. I have been playing a lot of custom games and the occasional team games purely for the purpose of getting better with units and micro. Needless to say, I lost 5 games of 4v4 in a row and got promoted to diamond. So that's cool, but after that I was pretty pissed off and jumped into 2 1's league games.

Lost the first one to an 8 pool on blistering sands. The best part is that I feel like the zealot nerf doesn't change much as far as gameplay goes, but I think casual zerg players might get the idea that it has some sort of overstated effect and, as such, just 6-8 pool because they think it's super powerful now even though it already was pretty powerful. So, thinking that, I 9 pylon like usual and decide to 10 gate. I always pylon scout also. So I get to his base and his pool is done. I rush to block off, chrono boost a zealot out immediately once my gate finishes and by the time it pops the zerglings had just walked into my base. That's very annoying. I couldn't hold it purely because he kept sending more and his micro wasn't horrible. In other words he wouldn't engage unless he could surround.

So whatever, I gg and leave. Then I play a pvp on blistering sands in which I face an 8 gate and spend most of the time 10-20 food behind. Thank god for forcefield and his stubbornness to stay on gateway units. I win because I get 3 immortals and 3 colossi and make his zealots useless.

I have like 200 bonus pool points to grind out, it's gonna take forever.

I've been grinding down my 800 odd bonus pool for 4v4s as I haven't really played them much yet. Down to about 350 now and already have about 800 points.

For some reason I prefer the 4v4 maps where everyone is lumped together. Its harder to get rushed that way which leads to much more interesting games. Also 4v4 all zerg is really amazing.

My bonus pool for 4s is about 800. I used to keep up on it in 1v1, but I took like a week and a half off so like 200 points built up. I'll start playing more soon.

I hate the lumped together maps like megaton. I feel most of the time I can't play the way I want because I have to help everyone else or risk losing my own base as well. Plus people expand to my natural, which pisses me off immensely. I've had people say they expand to my natural because "it's safer". Yea, no ****, it's safer because someone else other than you is defending it.

My basic strategy has been either to go 4 gate blink stalkers or like pylon gate expand then whatever cause you get so far ahead income wise. 4's is super lame though. I'm never playing another random 4s game again.

Pretty much won a game, some guy gg's, I alt tab to change music, come back and quit the game before he does.
