It's obviously possible...I was making a point that it is much easier, and doesn't put you that far behind. Holding off a stim/seige push is just as tough as holding off a well done 2 rax push. If you are more comfortable going hatch first than by all means do that, but I have pretty decent success with my style of going 14gas/13pool.

played some pvt just now, after i fended off about the fourth round of him sending in marine/marauder/thor, he types "you're immortal?" in chat. i don't know whether he was saying that i just won't die (having twice the bases as him and 20 gateways will give that impression) or that i should get immortals. he only leaves when i send out about a dozen void rays that i've been secretly massing and afaik were never scouted by him

I think if you spend some time watching some replays and control tilt, you can definitely reach masters Karak.

Play the game when you aren't at your jerb. That's what I do. It's not like you have to be playing the game on hardcore hours every day to be good (note: I'm not saying I'm close to good). Maybe you need to work on your life build order.

I don't even know how you are high diamond/near masters with that kind of play. I mean, I suck total ****, but I never have that bad of unit control. Were you drunk or tired when playing?

I like you though, I know you're good enough to be where you are, but your swings are like that because you probably play like that in the games you lose.

i play like that in pretty much every game. i just have good decision making (learned from pwncakery really) that makes up for it.

now lost 2 zvzs tonight due to move commanding my army away

lol in the last one ia ctually move commanded my army for a solid 1/3 of the battle (i was seriously mashing A move A move A move A move A move A move but my comp hung ldo and it never registered until well afteer it needed to) and still crushed him but then my rallies broke (obv) and he got the privilege of engaging my army 1/2 at a time when mine was 2x bigger!

but at least im using hotkeys amirite?

lol i love watching these replays. one before this i was up 40 supply when i attacked and move commanded my army away. this one im up 52 to 31 (!!!) harvesters at the 10 min mark

up over 50 supply at the 13 min mark

up 70 supply at the 14 min mark

then i max and decide to wait just long enough for him to max to attack. but it's ok because i instantly remax up SIXTY supply.

(keep in mind i lose this game).

it was a 14 point win.

a toss just failed a cannon rush agaisnt me, failed the cancel teh cannons and lost 1200 resources. i droned hard the entire time and lost absolutely nothing. i then went to his base and killed 2 more probes + a couple pylons outside his base + a cannon taht was morphing that he didnt cancel. i sacrificed an overlord into his base at the 8 minute mark and saw basically the entire thing.

he expo'd (and didnt cancel it) and won the game at the 11 minute mark. the battle wasnt even remotely close. i had 3 queens, 3 spores, 3 spines, roaches, lings with speed + a 15 harvester advantage.

now i ask, who believes the above is true? did karak make it up/exaggerate it, or is it factually accurate?

Yea I've been playing a lot of random lately and dt's are what allow me to win games even though I am sooooo bad at P.

lol just rolled a mid diamond zerg and managed to kill like 15 harvesters with a dt rush that got there at 8 mins (so late) post lair

i lost cause i didnt know what to do next

edit - just 3 pylon cannon rushed a zerg into void ray/dt/zealot (LOL SERIOUSLY all off 1 base)

he was not a happy camper

edit - lol just won a pvp vs a diamond toss. 3 gate blink ez mode. he even stole my gas hahaha.

edit - now just beat a zerg using 4 gate blink and im sure my build order was trbl. wow. i didnt even really have to micro. he had 4 spines on typhon but it's lol typhon so i just ramp ran him. ez.
