toss in close position isnt nearly as bad as terran, but proxy 2 gate is ****ing obnoxious

also eliminates any possibility of a 15 hatch or a 14 pool 16 hatch if they block you

I have a new policy. I used to only pylon block hatch first builds, but now I block gas-less expansions as well. It's just way too greedy.

It's helped a ton ever since my winrate vs zerg went to ****.

how does a z let you economically get away with a pylon block? a spine + creep tumor = your pylon block goes away pretty quick and he prob just grabs a 3rd with his drone and isnt really all that delayed...

Pylon block = put pylon where hatch would go. Not ramp block. Sorry.

I think you're confusing pylon block with double/triple pyloning.

Just played a really stupid ZvZ where he rushed to infestor on 1 base vs my hatch first build. I managed to let him kill off my expansion (and lair) before building an overseer but killed everything except his infestors. He then proceeded to turtle for the rest of the game and massed muta. I fail at scouting and didn't realise what he was doing until he showed up with 46 muta and the only thing I had that could hurt air was 5 infestors. He bunched them up so badly that I managed to catch every single muta in 1 fungal growth lol.

Made it to gold, but I keep losing because I don't deal with mineral harrass well. People keep sending banshees/mutas to my mineral lines. Guess I need to either start cannoning my mineral lines, leaving 2-3 stalkers back there, or making some phoenixes (While improving my scouting LDO)

beating masters players on ladder, peopel in 2+2 commenting to me that i zvt better than most masters they play, feeling raelly good about my game. really thought i was gunna move up tonight.

ive honestly been very closely considering (and not jsut in moments of rage/tilt), giving myself an utlimatum: make masters in 2 weeks, or quit starcraft for 2 months. if i play sc2 in taht 2 month period, i have to take a month ban from 2+2. not saying ill do this yet, but this cycle is getting ridiculous and is making me feel ******ed.

Post a couple reps, have pwn, dingoschrengost, or Time look at em, spot the 1-2 small leaks you're making, profit.

just lsot to an awful terran cause i forgot banelign speed. well that and i didnt inject afterwards even tho i survived. move commanding my mutas through his absolutely ****ing absurd line of turrets that served no purpose in the middle of his base next to no production buildings was fairly skilled too.

i clearly just dont have what it takes. no micromanagement, no game sense, cant inject while fighting, cant multi-task. nothing. im pretty sure i just need to accept at this point im really not more than a mediocre player. for all the time ive put in i have to be an absolute mouthbreathing ****** to not master these very simple skills.

ive been doign this **** for like what.. 3 months now? massive win streaks to the top of diamond followed by massive losing streaks due to the simplest things? i mean it's not variance. it's been going on for 3 ****ing months. when am i goign to stop wasting my time on this game i clearly will never be good at?

Looking at your points + unspent bonus pool compared to the points + unspent bonus pool of the highest ranked people in your division is probably the best way to figure out how close you are to a promotion. I was #1 in my division by a fairly wide margin for a few weeks before getting put into masters. If there are guys in your division who are 100+ points ahead of you, you probably aren't that close.

I've been #1 in my gold division for about a week (200 point lead now) and haven't been promoted yet. Do we have any idea how it decides when to promote you? I know I've been playing anyone from high gold to high plat recently.
