I thought that might be possible, I don't know. I was dropping tons of games vs T before I started working on 1 gate expanding. It's like my frustration and calm-ness have completely flip flopped lol.

starcraft is seriously bad for my health, just infinite stress and dark tilt

i should just uninstall but i know i'll want to play every now and then. fu starcraft ahhhh.

Started my evening off like 5-8, but it was uphill from there. Felt like I was really playing pretty well all night. Mastered the roach/ling pressure for 3 gate expo and saw really great success... although sometimes it was with the help of some serious failfields.

Odd things I ran into this evening:

-Terran who took a gas on Shakuras, mined 150-200+ gas... then pulled all his SCVs and marines and all-in'd me. He never made a unit that took gas. I stole his 2nd gas and the only thing I can think of is he had some sort of 1 base all-in he always does and I ****ed it up stealing his gas and he didn't know what else to do? If he wanted to fake me out, he coulda just not mined it. It was cross-spawn too, but I only barely had enough time to get spines up.

-The 1 gate 1 robo colossus expand at 630 by a Protoss. I'm honestly not kidding. Gospy was watching this one... it was fairly funny. I won obv, but not on my first push, haha.

-Finally, a Terran who I Kyrix style baneling busted with a bunch of lings and blings... but it was a little on the late side and he had mass blue flame out... and I somehow still won because his hellion control was so bad. I looked back at my base to prepare crisis/emergency mode for the impending blue flames, and was shocked when I still saw daylight in his base and looked up to see all my lings running rampant killing everything.

Exact same for me! It makes so much sense because you find out about allins after you expo anyways so why not just get it immediately.

words cant describe how clueless i am vs toss. im actually fairly decent at getting early leads, sometimes massive early leads. i still lose every single game without fail. i get a good economy but just have NO idea what units to build. im going back to roach/ling all-in every game. **** macroing. i was winning a **** ton of games with that.

going on tilt and having the next game be a random player 7 pooling you happening to spawn close position is a really good way to get off tilt. i assure you.

was watching the archive of idra's stream from today before going to sleep

he summed up my day on ladder quite well

dude tries to cannon rush idra, fails, then loses his 3rd pretty much after it is built. still lolols over idra easily by just making another 3rd and 23428 cannons and sentries to protect it then a moving his colossus in. idra kills all the colossus pretty quick cause he has 15 corruptors! then he dies because he has 15 corruptors.



edit - LOLLL very next game he hatches first against a close pos terran on shattered temple and sees 3 scvs and a marine coming towards him with his scouting drone (still on the terran side of the map) and he instantly leaves the game

i have yet to lose on ladder when proxy hatching a forge FEing or nexus firsting (same thing in a way i guess) toss on tal'darim. it's amazing. even when they scout it i still win. they either build cannons around it which leaves their front lol open (or they have to spend a ton of $$ cannoning that up too) or they pull probes. one dude pulled 11 probes to attack it while it was building, and i just cancelled it at the last second... then placed it down again almost instantly and cancelled again after he had to go back at it. the mining time lost set him back massively and i just a moved into his base a few mins later.

what is the appropriate response from a forge feing toss? just dont let me get a hatch down? or come cannon me in? even if he does that ill pop roaches out of the hatch when it pops and he cant get cannons in range of my main cause of creep spread to that point.

i usually take a "third" (lol my natural) while all the insanity is going on in his base (if i dont win outright right away... they usually build 2834823 cannons all over their nat and make voids or dts), get a lair and save up resources for 10-15 mutas or so then go win.

Brag: Going to MLG Columbus for my birthday!

My birthday is Friday so my GF got us passes and a hotel for the weekend. She is going to be so bored lol, but I'm pumped. Never been to a LAN (though it's not really a LAN I guess) of any kind. I've been to a semi-big Magic (card game) tourney, but nothing with gaming or of this size.

Sounds like they are bringing out a lot of great people from casters, to koreans, to great foreigners like Naniwa, Idra, InControl, etc. Should be a good weekend and be a good start to my summer.

Anyone else going? I've been to a few of the bars around the area in the past and the GF and I will probably be going to a few of them one night. Let me know and maybe we can meet up for a bit.

Anyone know what sort of "side events" might be going on? Do they have side tournaments or other stuff to do? Will the live audience actually be able to hear the casters properly since they are doing it for the stream? I probably should of done more research myself...

i'm sort of delirious, tired and tilted, so pardon me if this post is insane.

another night of awful losses and wins i dont deserve

my favorite was a 57 minute zvt where the terran had absolutely everything destroyed, had very few scvs and was down to 2 command centers and the unoccupied main opposite him on shakuras. i had every tech you could want plus every base on the map.

while i was trashing his main ,he ran to the other main and built a massive barracks wall plus 98324954395 factories:

he built a wall about 4 barracks thick:




i had 28342834 larva and 28342834 resources + lots of **** mining, so i decided to break his wall and kill all the units there... but at that moment all his factory production popped and he decided to turtle behind about 15 siege tanks and thors and vikings and turrets while running around nuking my bases which accomplished absolutely nothing (tho earlier in the game he did get off 2 effective nukes... but it was meaningless as i was so far ahead).



he also surrounded his entire base with turrets. so we had to sit there for 20-30 minutes while i wokred on getting brood upgrades, enough corruptors, enough infestors and enough ultras (to tank the tank splash from when the infestors are fungaling the vikings) to kill him.

this, of course, resulted in me having to spend 20 ****ing minutes making a massive brood infestor ultra mix big enough



after i killed all his tanks... did he quit? no... down to like 40-50 supply he stayed in the game. then he started talking like it was close and he just barely lost. i begged him to stay because i had something to ask him. wanted to know if he had ever heard of a certain song





then i decided to shoot some fireworks off with some of his race's former buddies:



he was unhappy.


this entire post is really dumb, but i have a lot of angst to take out as im pretty sure im terrible at this game. went .500 all night taking the worst losses ever. although my last gmae was pretty awesome. i did a 7 roach rush against a close position terran on shattered temple. he held it, but lost about 7-10 scvs, a few supply depots and a bunch of marines in the process.

after seeing my roach army and scouting to see that i was making even more roaches, he decided to tech switch to mass blue flame hellion. i wasn't even bming when i asked him wat? then i made 40 banelings and a moved/won. zerg ez.

also this was a rather fun moment that essentially won me the game. ultra/bane is pretty good against siege tank/marine apparently.

(This isn't directed at Karak) I'm not taking it personally and I'm not offended as much as it's going to sound like I am, but I hate it when people who are obviously good at this game (and a lot of things in life) and always say they are bad or terrible. My one friend's brother thinks he's terrible at golf, but really he's probably one of the best players who play at our local golf course. Really, I mean, if you (read: anyone) think you're bad at something when you're clearly towards the top of the rankings then you must think that everyone else who really isn't as good as your current level is probably extremely terrible.

Like LiquidTyler making those comments about quitting SC2 because he doesn't think he's that good and doesn't think he can compete, but yet you go to the GM rankings and he's like Top 20 or something. FFS, quit your bitching. You're one of the best in NA. Shut your trap and keep playing!
