how people think they can do ling/bling vs toss without drops and/or ultras and/or infestors baffles me. how do they possibly expect to win? there was like a solid 5 minute time span in there where he could have loaded up overlords, floated them into your main, hit d and then lol'd.

upgrades are also essential.

he probably wins lots of games anyways because most toss players dont have the micro and FF ability you do. that is, most toss players suck and you dont. haha.

I treat drops and such like I treat mutas; if it happens I just all in immediately. So if he wastes his blings we get to gamble. I mean once I saw his mutas, I knew it was go time. I've been opening dt vs zerg like 75% so there isn't a ton of opportunities to even get to that point.

Dude is 650 master though. I'm like 675 or something.

I mean I could post replays where I'm getting owned repeatedly by 2 base roach ling pushes, but where's the fun in that. I'd rather you guys think I'm good even though I'm not lol.

In the spirit of the recent discussion about ling/bling against protoss, here's a guide to the build that NesTea used against anypro in the Code S Ro8:

Melee upgrades are definitely critical to ling/bling, but I'd much rather transition into corruptor->BL rather than ultralisks, unless you have a really massive surplus of resources. Overlord drops are also important, but imo most of their use is in dropping onto the protoss army rather than for harassment. Obviously, against a bad opponent it's great to drop 4 blings on the mineral line, but with the recent popularity of ling/bling I see a lot of toss players camping blink stalkers in their mineral lines which makes it very easy to shut down that kind of harassment. And, as Gospy points out, if you're actually dropping a lot of supply into the toss base, he's likely to just all in you.
