Including, but breaking it down (SC1, BW, SC2), how many games of Starcraft would you say you have played? I asked Karak the other night and was surprised by his answer. I am mainly interested in ladder games and custom games against real people (not the AI).

I didn't start playing Starcraft until about one or two months left in the SC2 beta so my experience only goes back that far.

I would say I've played around 200 to 220 games at most.

I'd be surprised if my number of games on Brood War was under 5k. And that maybe a low estimate. About 1k or 1.5k would be Melee games, the other would be UMS WW2, Diplomacy, ect.

Played since like Christmas 2010, had some breaks in between play, like 6 weeks worth of breaks.

Between both of my accounts, I have like 200 league wins and 130 custom games. So, if you figure the 50% win rate, I've played close to 300 league games? Mainly team though, I have 88 protoss and 7 terran wins on teams on NA, and like 10-15 on EU server. My 1v1 is lacking.

So I have a slight brag.

Since yesterday I've been screwing around with the 2vAI and 3vAI coop just to get some achievements and to play the other races. I've been playing random just for fun.

Anyways, first game it's me as Terran and a Terran and a Protoss vs. 3 AI Zergs. We win obviously.

Next game I get Terran again and the Protoss in the group is the same as the Protoss from the game before (cool, eh?), and then another Terran.

I say hi to the Protoss and say we were just in the previous game together and he said, "I have to go, bye." Like 20 seconds into the game. We're both like WHAT? So I said, I'll try to play 2.

I ended up having control of my terran and the other guy's protoss and we still won. haha I'm so good.

I won a 3v3 ladder game last week managing all three of my bases lol. If it was 2 I'd just do a modified one base push with one base, but too many resources with 3 bases.

I've played probably 400 1v1 ladder games during the beta, PTR and seasons 1/2.

Never played any other rts.

Including customs, teams, etc, I've played probably 2-2.5k games.

Didn't play bw very competitively, just loved seeing how many computers i could beat on the money maps. I'd guess ~3.5k 1v1 games between beta+retail. Probably ~1500 ladder, 2000 custom. I don't really play team games. For some reason I'm absolutely awful at them at get kinda frustrated if I try to take them seriously. It can be kinda fun doing some ridiculous quadruple rush though.

i played like 1k ladder games in a month and a half before finding out about day9, GSL, teamliquid, or any of that

i have problems playing post black friday... i just don't have the motivation to play and it's weird because i spend all my time sitting around watching streams and ****ing around on 2p2.

maybe watching tons of streams fulfills my sc2 urges? idk, but i don't think so

I've probably played >1k SC1 games, but all UMS/money maps. I never really found the competitive scene until about this time last year (ironically enough, from a thread here on 2+2 that somehow ended up talking about Elky and linked a TSL1 vod), where I decided to wait for SC2 instead of trying to get in on competitive BW.

I've probably played about 1k SC2 games. The division is something like 500 ladder, 400 custom, 100 UMS/other.

Probably <1k games, with maybe 50 coming from sc1 (never played bw though). So... team games later pwn?

This season and last, I played just under 800 games. I played in the beta too, not sure on the exact number there, probably around 300 or so, so around 1100 total.

I never played BW; this is pretty much my first RTS that I've played seriously.

Damn, just had another one. 3vAI. I get Terran. As soon as the game starts the Zerg player drops so the other Terran instaquits, so now I'm left 1+2v3AI. I hold off 2 attacks and 2 flank attacks and then go and kill the AI.

I saved the wins for them.

Played 3v3 BGH for a year or so before D2 came out. This was back when I was like 14 and didnt understand anything about the game at all. Didnt play the beta and have played about 2k games id say since the release. Half and half team games and 1v1.

Oh man, PvZ on Metal. For me, it was such a good game the way it turned out. I made a lot of mistakes as far as macro go, but in the end I thought it was pretty awesome. I meant to go 3gate robo, but somehow I missed my 3rd gate. It's just a lack of playing under pressure. I think this is worth a watch.

i think you should have poked out much sooner and got your expo. a good zerg is going to have his 3rd and possibly 4th out during all that time. i know you had some scouting with that obs but meh...

Yeah I never expand fast enough. That's something I need to work on, but I hardly ever play to work on things. Normally I get 3gate robo, then go and expand, but I knew he was just sitting there in front of my base so instead of going head on into a bunch of speedlings I decided to try out that drop since I see WhiteRa do it all the time and it ended up working out pretty well.

First time I've ever used a warp prism drop.

3 gate robo is not a PvZ build. 3 gate expand around 34 food or 4 gate allin. If you get a robo its only to do a goofy allin pre-expo (double immo drop / warp prism behind the spine crawlers). Theres no reason you would need a robo before expo on a macro build.
