I looooooooove seeing roaches PvZ. FF then blink if that doesnt work = win. You want to force roaches so they cant make muta IMO. Muta = hell PvZ. Stalkers are much better than roaches because of mobility and range and never having to fight fair or straight up.

Roaches destroy stalkers without blink as numbers go up and as upgrades go up.

Blink changes everything.

just take 5 roaches, trap them in one tiny little area out of range of hitting anything, watch them spin in a circle on top of each other and LOLOLOL

I have no problem with roaches lol, I was just sayin. They are easily one of the best units cost wise and upgrade wise.

Stalkers are ****. You can have 'em. I think only 4 or so units scale worse upgrade wise.

The talk about roaches made me think about getting more Immortals. I poked in a bunch, he had some roaches and lings, and infestors. I almost blew it when I poked in a few times and he fungaled. Then I was out of my base for so long he nydus dropped me, killed off my main probes+colossus tech. Had 1 colossi. I go in for the kill and he does that whatever it's called where he takes control of a unit...took control of my colossus. Good thing I realized it and backed up my army. Then I had just enough to keep pushing in and kill him off while resupplying with a pylon near his base.

Started playing again after a 3 month hiatus (And only like 30 1v1s played total). Playing random and get like 3 ZvPs in a row. Horrendous losses in all 3.

My god will someone buff zerg. Missing injects is sooo unforgiving and lol at injecting on time when you've been chronoing/MULE-ing the past 4 games. Also LOL Brotoss air and LOL Collosus. And LOL 4-Gate.

And LOL @ me thinking burrow roaches vs a 4 gate was in some way an advantage with my micro.

how the **** do you get roaches with burrow in time to defend a 4 gate

I played something like 24 games before tonight since the ladder lock. I can't say how many PvPs I had, but I've gotten 4 gated ZERO times.

Tonight I get PvP 3 times in a row and get 4gated twice. I don't mind the PvP match up, but I can see 4gating getting old really fast.

My last PvP was on Shattered Temple. I do 3 gate robo. Have 2 or 3 immortals, I can't remember. Guy comes and attacks me. I saw him coming. He has stalker/sentry/zealot. I have stalker/zealot/Immortal. I eat him alive, still have all my immortals and like 2/3rds of my stalkers and zealots. He instaquits as soon as he loses his attack.

I like wins like those!!!

What the ****. I scout proxy raxes in 2s PTvTT, get another gate right after my cyber and chronoboost stalkers and add a 3rd gate out as marines stream in, and slowly lose, never taking much damage but barely holding off each wave, until I had to start sacrificing lots of probes and finally being overrun at the 15 minute mark. Of course my dumb teammate goes marine marauder rather than just pure marine or getting some hellions. I feel like not getting a 4th gateway was a mistake. I probably could have held it fine in a 1v1 situation.

And really, marines are ****ing ridiculous. Tier 1 that shoots up and is strong enough for it to be viable to just focus all of your resources into streaming them into my base and constantly pressuring me, even 15 min in. I need to switch races to terran. So many cool toys.

EDIT: I also scouted it super early because he didn't make a stalker until warp in, so I made up a build order in which I bee-line to burrowed roaches (fast lair, skip roach speed, ling speed) and it may have very well been horrible. I don't really pretend to know how to play zerg. I'm probably a mid plat Protoss, high gold terran (who can't play off more than 2 bases, but whatever), and a silver Zerg.

Forget what I said about team games. **** team games.

no Z or P should complain about marines, and here is why.
Marines are the T's primary mineral dump.
If marines are nerfed, T will have to dump minerals somewhere else.
That dump is blue flame hellions.
Really fast, no gas, produce-able 2 at a time units that absolutely decimate mineral lines in a matter of seconds.
Trust me, you rather see marines.

lol guys whats up with the player pool in battle net today. I started playing 1 vs 1 and i got one guys wo was in gold and two in silver... this would be normal but im in bronze lol.

well, roaches vs. stalkers, roaches are much better cost for cost. but if you add in the ability to shoot at air and the speed/range in an overall sense, stalkers are obv nice.

I've been practicing 4gate against the AI. I've gotten it down so that warpgate finishes at 5:30. Now I just need to put it to use in a real game and try to remember to use my chrono on my warpgates.

I'll probably end up failing miserably and then give up on it.

until you add in blink, then with basic blink micro, stalkers slaughter roaches.

4 gate battles are fun. Oh PvP...
