Air play is so imba in team games. I feel like mutas force your entire team to go for a heavy-AA composition or you get run over.

+1

Mutalisks in particular are ridiculously strong in team games. SOOO many more opportunities for good harass.

With zefa and needle coming over to the light-side I think it's time Random got its own thread.

One of my teammates in a 4v4 I just played rushed for carriers, getting a quick gold and safely getting a bunch of carriers. When the enemy ball finally hit, though, his carriers sit idly by in front of his base. He had the perfect opportunity to flank the enemy colossus line and help us win the fight, but his carriers just sat there unused. I frequently see this **** in team games and tried explaining that he needs to use his army to help the team and how it's important to combine forces in team games, especially 4s. He tells me to stfu, and when I persist he begins attacking my base and I his, lol. The game was over at that point though.

I would play random if not for zerg. I am just too unfamiliar with the race and bad at larva injecting/spawning units from hatcheries, and don't really want to sit down and practice it.

As in 1v1s, blink into storm = pretty decent against mutas.

when i played random in team games this was the biggest problem for me too. terran just making marinesLOL (plus it was my main race at the time) and toss just 4gate LOL then make colossi LOL or VRs LOL, but zerg is HARD BRO

but now i play zerg so it's ok

in all seriousness if you aer going for an early rush strat, just overpool + in base hatch and make speedlings and/or banes. if the game gets longer, just take expos, beg your teammates for gas, and mass mutalisks. also get +1 attack and +2 attack ASAP, unless you are involved in a lot of muta v. muta wars, then get carapace first.

The difference is that in a 1v1, if you do that, you can shut down harass pretty well.

Team games, if you shut down my harass, I just move on to the next target.

Yeah I can manage alright if I mass blink stalkers, (and I'm forced to if I want to live, unless someone competent on the team opened with phoenix/muta) but even with them I'm kinda confined to defending my main and nat and can't offer much help to allies. So it really forces everyone on your team to go into defensive mode and make lots of stationary defenses and AA units.

This applies to a lot of things.
Thats one of my biggest problems in shared base team games, if one of my teammates doesn't/cant wall off, and slings do a run by, i'm screwed even if I wall off.

PC's are easy to assemble. Just make sure you buy components that play nice with each other.

I've built 3 top-end PCs in the past year for myself and fellow nerds. All of them went off without a hitch(no RMAs), and any "OMG IT DOESN'T WORK!" problems were solved by plugging in things that we forgot to plug in.

Beat: on the first one, an hour of google, component swapping, etc etc etc was solved by the LEAST computer savvy of us saying, "Isn't that supposed to be plugged in?" (as he points to the CPU power cable.

HERP DERP

True story:

I built my current desktop that I'm on. Took me 6 hours. Put the heatsink on the CPU on the motherboard, screwed down the motherboard, hooked up all the wires, etc. etc. Turned my computer on for the first time and found out the heatsink was facing the wrong way. There was no way to know which way the fan would spin.

Took another half hour to unplug everything, unscrew everything, unscrew the motherboard, etc. etc. Then about another hour putting everything back together and trying to figure out where everything went again.

Turned the computer on again and it said my key code for my OS was already used. I was like...FFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!! Luckily I was able to get around it and fix it over the phone without any trouble.

Great computer. Would definitely build one again.

Where were you before?

For the most part you're going to be where you were before.

I played my placement match and won. I checked the guy's stats and he was in Gold last season. He was now in Platinum after like 3 games.

I am 2-3ish in the new season (lolkeepingtrackoflossesaments) and I'm still in Gold. I played ~12 games during the ladder lock and I was something like 9-3 and towards the end I started playing Platinum players. My point is that I'm still in Gold.

Just have to keep playing and you'll move up when the system thinks you should move up.

I wish I was in Bronze.

LOLOLOLOL

Computer didn't post at first. But then I reseated the CPU (had it seated incorrectly) and it was fine.

Running pretty awesome right now. Just waiting for SC2 to finish dling. Having issues sharing the install over the network for some reason.

How do you not seat the CPU properly? Isn't there a door on the motherboard that makes you make sure that it's sitting down properly?
