I played in a lan tournament yesterday. I got crushed as expected. My first round opponent was x6mystik (4200 masters zerg). It was pretty ridiculous to see what a huge skill gap there is between myself and a top tier player. He ended up getting 2nd in the tournament, losing to ppgBubbles. Also met/saw ONElink, ONEAscension, ONEShield, LaGTTBandino, owmygroin, probably some more that I can't think of right now that I recognized. Apparently NamhciR showed up to cast the finals (Frodan casted the rest), but I had already left at that point because the LAN was kinda ghetto and was very unfriendly for spectators (they had like 3 big TVs but didn't have the stream up on them??). It wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be. I played in some LAN tournaments for Counter-Strike before and they were way more intense and interesting. I probably won't be attending anymore LAN tournaments (to play or spectate) unless they are putting production value into it (i.e. MLG, Blizzcon).

Kept waiting for Bun B's verse, but pretty good nonetheless.

I think this had to do with forcefielding around eggs/production structures.

Yeah, after reading it again I understand what it's actually trying to say. I just read it quickly, and read it wrong.

I do know that there were times I saw units inside of the force fields so it just made me think my initial understanding was correct.

Yeah I've started to use hotkeys in every game, like 4-6ish control groups

Woot, up to plat in 1s and 2s and diamond in 3s.

I won my placement match, PvZ, and got placed back into Gold.

The thing is that my opponent was a #8 Gold last season and in 2 games today he is in Platinum so I have to be getting close.

I almost screwed up my game big time. He threw me off by stealing my gas, then canceling, then stealing it again. I forgot to get a zealot out first so I had to hold my ramp with a stalker. Then I finally got a zealot out, switched out the zealot and stalker at my ramp, and like 20 seconds later he ran zerglings right by my zealot. I have no idea how, but I might not have closed it off very well. I was able to kill his zerglings off without any issues, but then I got my 2nd gas late.

Eventually I saw he only had roaches so I got an immortal and some colossi and massed up stalkers. He didn't have too many units so I just went and attacked him and had an expert pylon hidden for like 2-3 minutes that he never saw. No way he was holding me off. GG me.

first time i've ever been diamond in a league!

Just played a 4v4 on megaton (the map with two big ramps leading in) against ZZZT. Obviously it's a triple 6 pool and a marine rush. I end up accidentally putting my pylon down on 10 and then decide to just 10 gate and get an early core, which ended up being a blessing. I've never been congratulated by the opposing team after winning before.

i had a 4v4 against 4 zerg, we were all ready for 6 pools. then the 6 pool timing came.
nothing.
wtf
then they bane busted all of us at the same time.
it was beautiful, and yet it really sucked.

we sometimes roll 3 zerg in 3s and then all of us 15 hatch. the replays are always funny to watch. it's meta game at its highest level.

i don't think i've ever been that far ahead on a Z that early on a cross position shakuras map.

Does anyone know if theres a way to stream at 2560x1600?
