why the **** do i keep getting palced vs diamond players in my 2v2, all i want is an upgrade to plat. FU SC FU and why does my tilt cheese never work. sigh ****ing cakes

I just lost a few tilt inducing games that I felt I should have won. I get pretty angry pretty easily over this game.

On the bright side I finally got promoted to Diamond. I placed in Bronze.

Just won a 2v1 Nexus Wars game. wooo

What kind of record did it take to move up to Diamond? I got placed in bronze too and I'm still stuck in silver. I've only got a 50-50 record so far cause I keep quitting games for various reasons (lag, messed up build order, poker table popping up)

I'm 52-34. I spent like 20 games getting to gold.(I was 14-14 at this point).

Then I got to platinum in like 20 more games. Then I broke even ish for a while before going on a 17-5 run in plat before getting bumped up.

Fwiw when I got promoted I was #1 in my plat division and had about 740 points.

So I uncheck Kulas Ravine for the first time in ages. Both games I think "there's no way they try for a zealot rush in cross positions on this map".

Both games I lose to blind mass zealots. -_-

I really need to stop tilt quiting games. Way to often I make a bad attack that gets destroyed, and then quit even if I'm still in a roughly equal position because of superior macro

Was trying to do that Insane FFA challenge against 7 other AIs. I was playing Terran and getting Battlecruisers. Once I figured out how to do it and playing on that lava map, floating my CC to the island, I ended up getting to top 2, but that last AI is just beyond Insane. Anytime I'd push out, they'd drop attack, then have a secondary VR army (I was playing against all Protoss). The one AI that was left was always on the other side of the map so anytime I pushed out I was always leaving my base defenseless.

Any advice on how to do it? Particular advice for Protoss? The only reason I had a chance was because I was playing Terran and was able to float to an island to buy some time.

On Insane they just go so fast. I'm barely getting my second gateway up while some of them are already getting Immortals. I don't know how I can go any faster when I never have any minerals, meaning, I'm using them as fast as I can.

Yeh, these are the fun games - fighting off his counter with inferior forces, or equal forces where you're both rallying reinforcements as close to them as you dare, fighting with scv etc.

I did it on my first go by floating on that lava map (send your scv to mine gold while the CC is flying over, then carry 5 of them with you). I did depot 10, expand on 16 or whatever, quad refinery then teched. You'll have tons of spare minerals eventually whereupon you can spam turrets. You can attack once you hit 5 or 6 BC. Don't forget BC upgrades, no need for yamato though.

As for why they're faster, play a 2v1 with an insane ally and watch its build order. They're probably just using the boost thing better than you are.

I know it's kinda sick but my favorite games are when my opponent has obviously lost but he doesn't give up. Like say I make a mid-game tankpush, crush his expo and his main but he just manages to float a CC to an island and build a gazillion turrets. I love just milling about taking every expansion available, making all the expos nice and safe with a bunch of turrets and planetary fortresses, have a patrolling squad of vikings and a couple of dropships of marines to deal with anything he might throw at me, and slowly teching up to a maxed army of 3/3 battlecruisers.

Me thinks I was terrible when I first started and got placed in the wrong division (gold). 12-3 in my last 15 games, 14 games against top 13 plat and 1 game against a top 10 diamond after winning 8 straight against said plat.

Must get more games in.

fml ive lost due to misclick micro like 3x, one time i was microing marines away from banelings and hit attack on a unit across the screen and lost like 24 marines

Beat- always forget to use my infestors during battles, and am never in the mood for tilt-inducing league games

Pretty sure that I'm going to be giving up on the game soon.
