I just don't understand how that's possible. My school offered very few econometrics courses. The "higher level ones" were math only because they had stuff like stochastic calculus, brownian motion, linear algebra for gt, de, etc. /shrug

At this point he's got 4 proxy gateways by the rocks near my natural cronoing zealots and I'm hatching at around 21 with speedlings. I'm noticing he doesn't have anything building in his base after late scout.

He starts attacking my expo as its building. I cancel and take his natural, build lings and two spines at my main. He attacks and retreats, then he starts building a forge as I roach and build some spines at his natural. My roaches kill all his gates and some pylons in his main but he has a lot of cannons. Then he manages to get void rays out and harass a little before he can't do anything.

Mises is to econ as Freud is to psych (i.e. lots of ideas, no proof). Not sure about Keynes since I haven't read him, but he could be the same deal. I don't think there is much value in theoretical 'schools' of economics or psychology, personally. Predictive power is boss. I am in a grad psych program btw (experimental, not therapy/counseling related).

Beating the insane ai was easier than I thought it would be lol. I got 4 achievements for it too lol.

Insane AI sucks on money maps.

I did it with a cannon rush on xel naga and I did it with a dt rush on scrap.

I was just playing with cannons on 1v1, Steppes, since it's a small map.

Here is how I do it:

9 pylon
9 forge
chronoboost 2 probes
as soon as forge is done, put down first cannon near the bottom of the ramp.
chronoboost 2 probes
at around 120 minerals, go up the ramp and put 2nd cannon down.
skirt around the edge so that you don't pull the workers to attack you.
If you pulled the workers, you can just use 1 pylon.
as soon as pylon is up, put down cannon inside the mineral line if possible, then just put down more cannons once you have enough minerals.
If you didn't get a good pull on the workers, put down 2 pylons and then work in your cannon as soon as the first pylon finishes.

If you wait until the first cannon is finished the workers won't pull and you will lose.
The point is that you want to get their workers to pull off the mineral line so that the AI doesn't have any minerals to make an army.

When playing 2v2, TNixon and I came to the conclusion that it is best to put both cannons on both sides of the ramp so that you have 2-4 cannons covering the ramp when the workers pull off the mineral line.

Just make sure you skirt around the edge. If you go near the workers, you will pull a bunch of them and they will chase you for several seconds. It won't be impossible to come back from it, but it makes it slightly more difficult.

Hmm had pretty nice game in 2on2 with a friend, we went 2*4 warpgate and each other had control, he then forcefield the ramp of one while I was busting the other alone with his units was pretty fun

After staying up last night playing dominion, I had a nightmare that night during my sleep. I was on a massive downswing in sc2, losing every match while my opponents were trolling me. I remember one game where a Terran nuked me 4 times.

Sickest part of that loss was that I was crushing my side so badly with so few cannons that had I just been paying attention to what was happening on your side, we probably still could have pulled it off. I just didn't realize that you hadn't done any damage to the worker line yet. And by the time I started putting my mineral stockpile to use to help out it was too late.

There's no worse feeling than getting through 75% of an advanced game of minesweeper and then misclicking a bomb...

I can't believe you're still playing that game.

I've lost 6 1v1s in a row and 9 of my last 12. So goddamn frustrating.

Good players I don't mind losing too, the player who 4-raxes and just makes a ton of mauraders on one base shouldn't be someone I'm losing too. A zerg turtling and then just making a ton of brood lords shouldn't be a strategy I lose to, but I am. I dunno. My confidence is shot too, and now I second guess everything I do and am too passive...it's not good.

I lost to a player in Silver when I'm in platnum...jeez that was embarrassing. Sigh. Love this game, but it can be terribly frustrating.
