I would be EXTREMELY leery of this deal unless this guy is dying of cancer and liquidating his assets to donate the money to an orphanage.
The listed mobo/CPU/video card alone are $550 even at a discounter.
Find out why he wants to sell it.
Hopefully he says it just doesn't boot or something. I recently had someone give me a computer because they were convinced that it was all hosed up due to overclocking or faulty processor or blah blah blah. I spent about 3 hours messing around with it and swapping out parts, turned out to be the $20 optical drive preventing it from booting.
A: $900 computer for free
B: Next time I'm troubleshooting boot issues, check the goddamned optical drives first.
But seriously, that's not a terrible deal for that computer if it's legit.
