just rattled off 8 straight ladder wins... matched up with a handful of 2.8-3k diamond guys and some guys who (from their match history) blizz clearly thinks are 2.5k diamond+

before this i was losing ladder match after ladder match as terran to #1 plat guys and v low diamond guys. i have seriously played, practiced and studied terran for over 6 months.

ive been playing zerg for just under 7 days.

one game im really proud of is a xel naga game vs a terran who was clearly vv good. i thought i was gunna lose cause he was meticulously pushing with tanks, rines and medivacs to the edge of my creep, killing tumors, moving forward again, killing tumors, etc. but on one of his moves forward (and i was slowly running out of distance before he was in range of my natural with siege mode) he unsieged 1 tank too many too close to creep and i was thankfully watching. then i took every base on the map and made a lot of mutalisks and banelings. i a moved to win (that's for you dingo).

biggest brag of the night is one guy doing a blink stalker rush on me, getting it rofl stomped, switching to void rays (which caught me off guard but w/e hydra dens insta build cause zerg op) then rage quitting after "suck my **** you gay zerg"

i then chatted him (sort of lying), "check my profile bro im a gay terran im just offracing"
and he replied, "lol gg you did a good job handling that blink stalker rush"

so happy! cant wait til bliz bumps my mmr up a little more and i go back to getting crushed in every game again and i make another ragey/emo post ITT (or demotes me to plat cause i was so bad at the end as terran in a lot of games)

Need some help.

I got my new pc built. I got some questions on set up. I have 2 monitors. Obviously, you extend the desktop.

Ok, so while in starcraft. I can see my desktop and my game. I can see browser and what not. Is there a way to make my start bar in the browser monitor and not my sc2 monitor?

Also, is there an easier way to get to the second monitor while in sc2, aside from alt-tabbing or hitting window key? I know you can turn off the mouse confinement but then it's hard to mouse scroll in sc2.

And any other helpful tips you guys may have, would be nice

Go into "display" or something like that in your computer properties and change which monitor is your main monitor.

I generally agree with your points and think the show is just adding fuel to the ****** fire over at TL. The only issue I see is its pretty hard to remax in time on the majority of the current maps in the map pool. Thats not really an issue with this specific build but just of a general problem with most zerg matchups.

As with any balance argument it is ******ed to staunchly defend one side or another without actually playing the other race to see it from their perspective. No one wants their own race to be thought of as overpowered and everyone also wants to think they play the hardest race.

even most top level terran/protoss will admit that zerg needs buffed.

And I actually do think Toss is the easiest race. I mean that's why I chose it. Obviously it's a matter of preference, but I literally can't play Terran. I get lost in game, I just can't understand the mechanics. Zerg isn't as bad but it doesn't come as easy to me as Protoss.

Also I've been having some hilarious results with the fake 3 gate expo/5 gate vs Z. Seems to upset people quite a bit.

ZvZ i just use pwny build and win a lot. i lose to banelings cause i still dont understand the micro. had a pwny build get countered by a few rows of roaches on hold position last night, so i just backed off, denied his expo for 3-4 mins, droned up then rolled later on in the game.

zvp i dont have a ****ing clue. i just pray they 4gate cause i throw down 3-4 spines and crush that (started sacing OLs every game and scouting every inch after the map after that one game vs gospy where he 5 gated me. thanks gospy.)

ZvP is just kinda of a crazy match in general IMO.

yea and unlike ZvT I don't have 6 months of playing the match up (albeit from the other side) under my belt... so im still learning the feel.

zvz i watched a lot of and is more fluid make-it-up-as-you-go-along, so it's more fun to me.

i won like 15 out of my last 18 and t hen lost 8-9 in a row. Then I got moved up the ladder...

That used to happen to me when I played terran. I'd go on a huge upswing of about 10-12 games then I'd go on 10 game losing streaks. I think the bnet ranking system moves you up and down by MMR steps. It seems like there is sometimes a drastic difference in skill between these "steps".

Or it just slowly moves up your MMR until you peak and then refuses to move you down until it's sure that you are playing people that arre actually more skilled and not losing to flukes.

Either way, I think its pretty standard for most players to get into huge cycles of winning or losing streaks.

just played a TvP. I pushed early with some marauders/marines/bunkers and did a lot of dmg, then i won the game a bit later. Guy basically rushed to collosus on a small map.. smart.

Then he says "gg Terran is imbalanced early.. charge should be available in the gateway" followed by "all the pros agree with me ******, listen to that show Imbalanced".

First of all it's the first time I hear Terran is op early game, esp vs protoss, and 2nd of all isn't that show a joke..?

Really? I'm not saying I agree, but opinions on PvT seem to be that T is op early game & P is op late game.

Well, T is more powerful early. There's really no doubt about that, but there are things Toss can do to weather the storm and get to their more powerful late game tech. Although with the proper micro (assuming even macro), Terran should be just as capable in the late game. It all depends on positioning and how you use your ghosts and/or vikings/drops.

Before I switched to Zerg, I was having a ton of success with doing a 2 rax ghost push into expansion. I won quite often with the ghost push. If they go 4 gate, I can hold it fine, expand and be so far ahead (or just outright win). If they go 3 gate robo, the ghost emps totally nullify any immortal or sentry play. If they go 3 gate expand, I can just emp the sentries and keep them from expanding while my more powerful macro takes over. If they go 1 gate expand lol gg.

This obviously all depends on positioning and micro. There's ways for both sides to screw it up and both sides to save it.

TvP is a good match-up... probably my second favorite to TvZ.
