At least now we're getting Scan and Nyoken casting it. NGL I like BW, but not enough to watch the Korean stream so any English stream is welcome, and Scan/Nyoken is better than I hoped for.

Didn't watch it live (first day with the time zone shift here so really didn't want to get up early for it), but watched the VOD:

Didn't miss much. First game (effort/ss1nz) was decent if only because one of the players pulled out a strat that I've not seen before

which nearly worked. Rest of the games were just one sided or not interesting. Would recommend at least giving Scan/Nyoken a go, the VOD works just fine on browser

not to be a doomer but GSL is now only 16 instead of 28 players and the prize pool has gone down by like 20k?

i was excited when i went onto liquipedia and saw code a was running and then realized that code a is basically...the first round of GSL now?

Nothing worth watching in ASL group B. Maybe the Shine/Royal game, if only because the player that gets a massive lead goes for interesting tech, but they could have done pretty much anything at that stage

It's just downhill from here.

Btw, anyone think there is room/will ever be a starcraft 3?
Aoe2 has massive viewers and is extremely popular at the moment, so rts seems to have a place?

i thought code a games were pretty good overall, idk if the bo5 vs groups had something to do with it, but it was entertaining. only a single round of groups will def be a little strange now, but i dont think overall its too bad of a change. i also wonder if covid and no fans has something to do with the cutbacks.

those groups look pretty good too, nothing too crazy and fairly even

is it 3 vs 4 first from those lists? i could see inno losing that group tbh, i dont love him in first for sure. and drg is about the only zerg i like, but he always disappoints, so im gonna put bunny in 2nd g1
