So, I've gotten to watch basically nothing of the bracket because of work. Any series worth watching? I did watch Dark vs Serral, but thats it.

...Maybe from Ro16 on, since we'll know the matchups and a lot of the 1st group stage games are kinda one-sided.

I always remember you being such a contrarian; when infestor-BL was the WoL meta you were all about mutas, when that changed in HotS you were all about infestors.

So naturally, Serral being the GOAT inspires you to not even play Zerg anymore despite it clearly being the most underpowered race.

Actually, I was inspired by Special beating Classic.

And I've never been a contrarian. I play what I find fun to play. It turns out that, as a more aggressive player on average, the hyper-defensive strategies that usually define the Zerg meta don't appeal to me. Also, I think Zerg lategame is generally worse than the other races and their midgame is generally better, and mutas are both fun to play and extremely strong midgame.

Probably not so coincidentally, I've been spamming 2/1/1, which is a very midgame focused build.

WC3 remastered. Has the BW remaster actually revitalised the scene? Are they even using it in pro matches? Hope to see Grubby Vs Moon and ****.

Tbh the scene was resurging even before the remaster was announced. I'm pretty sure ASL uses SC:R, and KSL definitely does since that's a Blizzard tournament.

You can tell ASL does by looking at the minimap and some players having different FOV sizes

So, I've been playing at around Silver/Gold level Protoss today (I know, I know), and I swear to god every single person at this level just hides bases. I don't understand it at all.

I guess every single person at that level doesn't scout for hidden bases or doesn't recognise there might be hidden bases

no, because with 70 apm thats the easiest way to get an advantage. when i started in bronze years ago, you'd be surprised how many people thought they were a god because you can 5 rax pool marines vs someone with no clue
