This is fine. Karak used to say he could get <diamond? masters? forget which league> making only lings and queens. Getting solid mechanics (macro skills) is more important for improvement than nailing perfect unit compositions. And honestly, of the units you named, the only one that I would say is a big help is ultras. (obviously I advise higher level players to make vipers but that's the difference between diamond and masters, not silver and gold)

That's fine - it might be helpful to come up with a plan for each matchup to execute. For example, in ZvT, plan to make your hatch and pool, then a third, then a baneling nest, then lair and two evos (and get upgrades going), then a spire, and eventually an infestation pit, hive, and ultralisk cavern. Write it on a piece of paper if you have to so you always know the next thing you should be building. For ZvP, maybe your tech is roach warren -> lair + evos -> hydra den -> infestation pit/hive. Repetition will help nail that into your memory until it becomes second nature.

Practice microing these on two groups - have your lings on one group and banes on another. You can a-move lings but you probably want to r-click (and keep your attention on) your bane clump rather than a-move them to make sure they hit the units you want (marines) and not the ones you don't want (marauders, tanks).
It's easy to separate them - when making banes, say you have a bunch of lings selected and you just held E to turn a bunch into banes. Hold control and click one of your baneling eggs in the unit selector at the bottom of the screen, then hit alt + shift + <baneling control group> - this adds them to your bane group AND removes them from any control group (i.e. your ling group) they were previously part of.

I've definitely lost to things like mass widow mine before, heh. You just eventually learn different ways to deal with things. For mines...
- since they can't attack buildings, spines will help
- hydras with range upgrade outrange mines
- roaches will get hit by mines but at least tank the damage decently (a roach costs the same as a mine but it takes two mine hits to kill a roach)
- if mines are clumped, then a small number of banes will take out a lot of mines (just definitely don't ever run your entire baneling army near mines because then the trade will go the other way)

You can always post replays if you have specific games you want help with.
