Anyone got a defensive roach opener for ZvZ? I've been doing speedling all ins but I really hate cheesing even if it's winning. Also my ling/bane play has always been bad so I dont wanna do that but I think even roach openers need some defensive banes. I'm in gold league fwiw.

I feel like narwhal should love LotV. From what I'm seeing in pro games, muta transitions are godlike now that parasitic bomb has reduced the ability of phoenixes to hard counter mutas.

Yeah, I'm a bit surprised I got diamond, especially given that I'm actually trying to play legit ZvZs (well, like half the time, on Ulrena and any map with a wide natural I usually open 14g/15p) for the first time since early HotS and am generally clueless at it. The only explanation I can think of is that people are really bad.

Even though I've been diamond for like a year now I'm still pretty convinced that I'm not actually better, and Blizzard just tweaked the ladder to make it permanently easier. Though when nios.kr says that GM+Masters+Diamond only comprises 12.5% of the NA ladder, man, it seems weird that in a dead game only the good players quit.

Short version is that they're two separate tournaments, running Dec 13-18 and Dec 20-25, winner of each one is seeded into Code S.

They changed the post, it now says Tastosis will be casting - maybe they weren't sure if they'd be available yet since it kinda seems like they threw this together last minute. Either way, good news!
