is that only if they have interstate/international player pool? obv nj and nv have intrastate markets, but thats prob no better than US friendly sites when volume and softness are balanced out. pretty happy with my setup atm, but if cali got sites going id strongly consider moving there for a bunch of reasons. only one of which is the 15 degree avg temps here for the past 6 weeks...

False alarm. I lost to a plat player who did a bunch of DT harass w/ warp prisms (the bonus kind of loss where I have detection at every base and still lose a billion workers because I am terrible), then in my next game lost to a gold player who did a bunch of multi-pronged warp prism harass with zealots. They were both bad but obviously I am included in the group of players that are bad enough at holding the same strats they execute game after game after game to allow them to achieve their medicore ranks.

On the bright side, I successfully baneling busted a bad kid who thought that nexus first into gateway at wall is a viable opener. lol protoss. Not sure who's worse, people that do that or people who scout your 14 pool and then go nexus before forge and pylon block your natural anyway.

But everyone is so bad at them... And stud8 is fun as every hand looks playable, fish love it imo. Like when you started out at PLO and you realized 4 cards is way more than 2 and it just looked impossible to ever fold.

And Bovada and Bodog mix player pools, so you get all of us in the US and the RoW players on there too.

Obv cali, tx, ny would be great places to be if poker gets legal. And to my knowledge NJ has a bill that would make it legal for Row players to play on their sites. Tho it's prolly a mega dog to get passed.

I have a friend in LV and he said ultimate poker was good the first couple of weeks and has now dried up, at least at the limit he plays... 5/10+ I think. Hasn't tried wsop.com tho.

good point about the other variants, one of the first plo hands i played was back on ftp where they had the matrix sngs, me and friends would load them up for lulz and i like 4b jammed river with 2nd best straight and everyone just laughed at me

some new legislation in places would be nice but its just so annoying keeping up with it, i'll just take it as a nice surprise when it happens one day

Latest balance test map

Changes:
- Mothership core vision decreased from 14 -> 9
- Blink cooldown increased from 10s to 15s (that's a big one)
- Widow mine splash damage would now do extra damage to Protoss shields
- Tempests do 2x damage vs structures
- Hydra attack speed increased, translates to +10% dps

Now that is a much better hydra buff than before lol. Also RIP Protoss. Blizzard should just delete them until LotV and get working on a complete overhaul.

thats sooo much of a change lol. i cant say im sad to see blink rushes die, so tilting how effective it is. otherwise seems decent. widow mine looks nice esp vs the clumps of zealots, maybe too much tho?

did they ever try spores doing less than 45 but more than 15 to mutas? seems ridiculous to go from, zvz always mutaling to zvz always roachydrafestor. having spores do like 30 would allow for mutalinging to actually be viable but not imba as it used to be

Yeah, 30 was an intermediate step. It wasn't enough to stop people from going muta at all.

they still snowballed? damn, my dream of a world where mutaling is viable in zvz will never be fulfilled

Strategy is too prevalent -> nerf strategy so its never seen again. Blizzard approach to balance.

Muta's still viable in ZvZ but only as a transition to roaches etc. Some maps especially, get muta's out, get 3rd up quicker than opponent, not much he can do when you then hit a massive timing.
