noob question, is there a good way to inject larva with all the queens you have at all your hatcheries? Like mechanics wise, if there a really fast thing I can do with a hotkey or something

there is a hotkey that will cycle through your hatcheries and center them on your screen. i think the default is backspace, i have it on space. so if you have your queens on say 4 you can hit 4 to select queens, then hit v for inject, hold shift and go space-click-space-click etc etc etc.

with this method you should be able to inject all your hatcheries in <2s. you do however need to make sure you have a queen for each hatchery or the queens will start to wander around the map.

I do the same thing (incl having the base camera button on spacebar) but I don't hold shift. I guess it's rare shift comes into play anyway (only would if you have more hatches than queens) but since the game can be unpredictable about which queens inject where when they have to start moving around, I do any shift-injects (like for lategame macro hatches or w/e) manually.

You can also inject via minimap -- highlight your queens then inject and click your hatcheries on the minimap.

I've never tried that, seems too elite for me.

Plus early game it ALWAYS happens that I try to inject really fast with a queen on 23 or 24 energy and the other one with 26 energy starts walking over and I have to be like NO MFER GO HOME. Unless I'm actively looking at the hatch I'd never notice that and be able to correct it.

Yeah I find it slower but some people do it that way. You need a fair amount of pointer precision because it's kinda unforgiving if you misclick. The icon changes though IIRC so at least it tells you when your mouse is in the right spot.

if you don't hold shift you would have to hit v after every inject. this slows the process a lot.

and there is no real reason to inject via the minimap. only benefit would be if you really need to keep an eye on something on screen while you inject but with the "backspace method" you'll be done with your injects in literally 1 second.

You should talk to FishtermerService, TvP is his worst matchup. It almost inevitably ends with bio getting owned by colossus/forcefield/storms.

So you should build colossi and forcefields and storms.

Watching Jaedong play a custom on Fighting Spirit (I think) when I noticed that the 3rd only has one (high yield) geyser. That made me think how interesting it would be to have a map where you have a base with 3 or even 4 geysers instead of 2. You can make it really vulnerable to compensate. It probably wouldn't be balanced, but it might make for an interesting Proleague map IMO.

kinda like that map in wol? (antiga/atlantis spaceyard/spaceship something?) with the high yield 3rd gas behind the los blocker? where you should have 10 mining gas total with the extra distance to high yield

think it would be kinda neat if you got extra gas per expo, ie main has 1, nat 2, 3rd 3, etc

Oh yeah, I forgot that Atlantis Spaceship had that. The only thing I remember about that map is that it looks like a teddy bear lol. I was thinking normal geysers though, not high yields. I think it would favor Zerg tbh. It's harder for Protoss to defend outlying bases (and this would have to be something like the 6th base on Daybreak in terms of vulnerability), and Terran just doesn't make use of the extra gas like Zerg/Protoss can. Depending on the map architecture, you could open us some cheesy strats where you take the extra gas base as your 3rd or something and do a huge 3base tech bust with the extra gas income.

It would definitely only be viable in Proleague, though, IMO. That's really the only tournament where map gimmicks like non-standard resource allotments are viable to try.

it hasn't really changed THAT much from WOL IMO. Terran still primarily goes bio with a few different timings and openings (reapers are more popular/some people do widow mine drops/etc).

I personally 1 gate expand into early robo and throw up 2 more gates (3 gates total). Once you scout and figure out what he's doing, you can obviously go in two different directions (HT or quick colo). I personally like doing an aggressive colo build (very early robotics support) and throw down another 4 gates and then hit once 2nd colo comes and range finishes. I can usually either throw my third down during this time as well.

Yeahhh, see even if I scouted I wouldn't know what I'm looking at. Casue all I used to do was 4 gate. But colossus is a good unit. But dealing with mine drops are a pain.
