Idra should quit the "tough guy, I hate the world" attitude. It's pretty old and watching him has become quite unbearable at times.

Just hit masters. I was kinda surprised. Is it still only 2% of ppl? Could it be that there's way more ppl playing and so 2% is a lot bigger in hots atm than WoL?

Is masters really only 2% of people? I thought it would have been like the top 10% or so.

PROLEAGUE: BIZARRO WORLD EDITION

So this is happening Friday/Saturday nights US time (aka, Sat/Sun evenings KST) this week and next week: for the HotS release, Proleague is having a weird event where each team's coach drafts a 4 player team made entirely of players from other teams and having a mini 8 team tournament out of it.

Apparently the format is bo5 until the finals, where 1-3 is proleague format (scheduled matches) and if sets 4/5 are necessary, they're played by the players that won in the first 3 sets (so, if a team is down 2-1, their lone set winner has to beat the two guys that won sets for the other team). Confusing but sounds cool. Finals are same format but bo7, with four games in proleague format.

Seriously, losing ZvTs to low diamond/plat terrans is pretty tilting. My TvZ is better than my ZvT now which is pretty lol since I played zerg in wol. I'm 6-4 TvZ and 5-10 ZvT.

It was was actually less than 2% due to the size of bronze. Bronze was a bit too big so basically all the other leagues had slightly less than the 20:20:20:18:2:200 ratio they should have had.

Not sure if more people are playing tbh, but even if so a % is a % it is not affected by absolute numbers so I must be misunderstanding you?

So funny. All terran team "boosters". Roro chosen with 3 coaches and is eternally miserable due to this . Looks like great fun.

I have only played 2 ZvTs in the release HoTs so far so I actually don't have much experience but I got placed in plat and just beat a masters terran with ling, bling, roach, hydra into ultra lol. I don't really know what I am doing.

Creep spread was soo important in ZvT in WoL. Well times that importance by 10 and I think thats the only way to cope in this match up. OL, creep everywhere to give yourself a chance. Map hack and speed cheat to victory.

Hmmm, this makes me feel like a badass having gotten to masters.

Just looked on liquipidea and that's right. 2% is masters. I was surprised I hit it but was very happy =]

And btw I said 2% is bigger in hots than WoL, I mean just in terms or skill. The expansion has made a ton more noobs come back to the game. Just like in Korea there's less noobs so masters would be "smaller"

If I am understanding you correctly then you are saying there are more undeserving masters in HoTs because the good players haven't risen to the top yet? I think that is correct. A lot of top masters from WoL are either not playing yet or are making their way up from the lower leagues. Some masters will find themselves shifting down to diamond in theory.

so in wol when protoss turtled hard on 3 base, we'd drop mass spine and go bl/infestor/corruptor

however, void rays w/ that charge ability just ****ing dissolve corruptors and infestors no longer can handle blink stalkers like they did before

My micro really isn't that terrible anymore. I dont die to banelings near as much as I used to. My engagements still need working on, but 2v2 is a whole different ball game.

Regardless, I'm going to get diamond before you. I'll put money on that.
